Is Bush's Amnesty Program not Amnesty because he says it's not?

Who saw the speech last night?

Forgiving 10 to 12 million illegal aliens, and opening a guest worker program for more on the honor system to return home?

He said it wasn't amnesty, so it can't be right?

Sounds a lot like the program they tried 20 years ago... that got us 12 million illegal aliens.

I am not for "amnesty" myself, but yours or others solutions are what exactly, other than mass-deportation?

Here's a thought, instead of making this into another partisan issue, how about those who are attempting to criticize the measures offered, which are not in any way 'set in stone,' offer up their own comprehensive solution to this particular issue(s)?

YES it's amnesty. It stinks. It' rewarding law breakers.
It's nice that G.W. is actually doing something. It's 6 years
too late in his administration. But at least he got off his back
end on this and started something. Of course, this should
have been going on with Clinton, Bush41, Reagan, and Carter.
They all fell short. 9/11 is our wakeup call to border security.

Seekerof you asked for 'others solutions'. Well, I don't have an
instant solution but I can tell you what I'd like to see happen.

#1 - build that freak'n wall! 20 feet high, 20 feet deep and 20 feet
wide. Have it patrolled by our military.

#2 - round up the illegals and ship them the heck outta' here. YES
it can be done. But it can't be until the wall is up.

#3 - have unemployed and welfare queens build the wall so they can
actually earn their free money.**

#4 - complete overhaul of INS, what it does, it's policies, etc.

#5 - extend this tigher border control to all sea ports and airports.

**No. I'm not against unemployment benefits. I collected for a few months
when I first got out of the military. I AM against those who use unemployment
and welfare as a way of life. Put them to work.

It will cost too much??? nope. It is an upfront cost that will pay for itself
quickly. Illegals cost this country billions upon billions upon billions. Those
costs will be cut when the wall is up and the illegals all deported.


There ... now you have seen my daydream.

Easy, instead of deporting them you can get rid of them and make the USA look good with one fell swoop.

Kill them, turn them into hotdog like meat/food, and donate millions of pounds of meat to Africans starving to death. 12 million illeagals, say average of 130lbs each after you take out the bones and unedibles, thats 1,560,000,000 pounds of food!

And even better for unemployed Americans they can work at the new meat packing plants used exclusivly for Mexicans turned into meat.
