CNN had no mention of it. FoxNews had a blurb stating "Senators wife kidnapped and released" with no other details. I guess we'll be hearing more soon.

Kathy Gregg, wife of U.S. Sen. Judd Gregg, R-N.H., was abducted by two gunmen from her home in McLean, Va., today and forced to withdraw money from an ATM, ABC affiliate WJLA reported.

abcnews.go.com...

Not much to it really. Just your basic robbery.

Something doesn't seem quite right. I don't want to see boogy men around every corner, but it is wierd.

the men had obviously cased the situation and knew she was a senators wife.

ATMS usually have a maximum amount per day that can be withdrawn...

there had to be an easier "victim" than a Senators wife...i mean you don't choose the woman with secret service protection when so many easy targets are available.

i wonder if the armed men were trying to make a point, perhaps blackmail... "we can get you or your family anytime we want"

The esteemed senator seems to be one of the rare "good guys" in office here is the list of committees he is on:
Environment
Committed to Protecting

Gop Record on Special Education

Committed to Protecting NH Environment

Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee - Chairman
Subcommittee on Aging
Subcommittee on Children and Families
Subcommittee on Employment, Safety, and Training
Subcommittee on Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services
Appropriations Committee
Subcommittee on Commerce, State, Justice, and the Judiciary -Chairman
Subcommittee on Homeland Security
Subcommittee on Foreign Operations
Subcommittee on Defense
Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education
Subcommittee on Interior
Budget Committee

he is also very active in preserving the environment of the eastern seaboard continental shelf marine habitat.

anyone see anything in his list of interests that might make him a "target".
I do...
