The gas crisis that has hit Europe recently, will hopefully be resolved soon. Russian and Ukrainian gas officials are meeting today to discuss the situation, that has left Europe with a shortfall in gas. Gazprom, the Russian gas giant, has claimed that Kiev is stealing the fule intended for Europe.
Russian gas giant Gazprom says full supplies are being restored to European states, and Austria and Hungary have reported a return to normal levels.

I belive this could represent a seriouse issue for the two countries. Relations between these two countrys have been straind, since the collapse of the USSR. It does seem that the Ukrain has been seriously unreasonable in commiting this act.

Hopefully now these talks could lead to a improved relationship between the two countries. I do belive that the price rise to $230, from $50, per cubic meter is very unreasonable. That issue may need to be resolved before this problem can be resolved.
