why believe

ok why not ask yourselves why people want to believe so badly in a god and afterlife. i mean the whole blind faith thing , anything could happen when we die there are any number of things that could have sparked the universe just pick something out of a hat and to be fair it would be just as probable as an all powerfull deity. personally i think that religion is a way of coming to terms with our own mortality . think about it noone wants to think about or except that we are going to die, as far as we know its the end, if it is the end, then in the fullness of time there will be no point to our life, we are born we do stuff we die , that stuff only maters to the people we leave behind. if we die and thats it our life is pointless , nothing we do matters because we are just gona end up being nothingness anyway, we wont remember, therefor it is allot easyer to just deny this thought and just belive something else regardless of the logic.
