Who can explain the income scale here in the USA?

Why is it that most make 20-100k yearly for working 40hrs a week or more and then you have people making millions upon millions for doing nothing more? Does this irritate any of you also? I realize that we are our own worst enemy when it comes to making the rich richer ex: hollywood and sports. When I see the annual incomes of some of these ceo's and then theor bonuses on top of that we ahve to question what the hell is going on. Bill Gates is worth say around 15 billion last time I heard. What can one man do with that other than anything?
