...maybe not, but it is doing some wierd things.

First of all, it's an '89 Taurus, and it wasn't doing anything odd all summer, until this Fall.

You see, the smoke almost continuously is coming from the vents. It smells quite bad, like paint, smoke, and mold mixed together. I do not use my heater, AC, fan, defroster, or anything else. Randomly, I will hear the sound of some sort of gas seeping in to the cab followed by the smell, only highly concentrated. Then it stops.

It seems to worsen when I slow or stop. I didn't notice the smoke visually until about a half an hour ago, and I would really like it to go away because it honestly smells putrid. Does anyone have any idea what it is so I can have it fixed?

Is there a problem with your exhaust...I mean, does it actually work?

The best person to ask this question would be a mechanic when you take it to get fixed. Diagnosis is part of their job...

Alright, I'm pretty sure I fixed it myself. I checked the radiator coolant and had none whatsoever, so I refilled it and so far I have no more horrid fumes! Thanks for your comments, all.
