Honestly folks, I was simply trying to find a picture of Ed Asner to post next to that fish picture featured in the Cryptology forum window...and found this!

I just finished the article and I'm flabbergasted! Apparently, this is EXACTLY how the Left does business! Have an agenda...make sure your "target" has a past...and Heaven help who ever gets in the way!

Why would they even bother with Hannity? Did you not see him get punked out by Jon Stewart? Stick a fork in the guy he is done

I'm flabbergasted that you didn't see that the article was two years old. I'm also flabbergasted that you actually qouted an article from "WorldNetDaily", which has as much credibility as Talon News and Pravda.

I especially like the bit at the end where Kevin McCullough misqouted Asner, and then had to apologize. Somehow, he derived "Stallin was misunderstood" from the original true qoute of "Stalin is one big damn mystery".

Ed Asner brings up a good point, why doesn’t Hollywood make a movie on Joe Stalin?

The answer is that they don't want to let out how bad the left is, since Hollywood is left.

Even with movie magic it would be difficult if not impossible to hide the despicable left wing agenda that was carried out by the left-wing ring Master Stalin himself.

They already did a movie on Stalin, titled appropriately enough, STALIN. He was played by Robert Duval, and the character was portrayed as a paranoid monster.

"Uncle Joe" was indeed a fascist dictator (right wingnut) who presided over one of the most incompetently run socialist economies (left wingnut), so you had the worst of both worlds, death squads with no profit... No need to worry about history though, we'll be able to relive those "good ole days" after the 2008 elections.

I fully understand the left not wanting to claim the leftwing Stalin, and it goes hand in hand with the left rewriting history to make itself look better, but the only people that will be fooled are the young and those who hate to read history books, the real ones.

Stalin was left-wing economically, militarily, and socially. Stalin destroyed Russia with his Bolshevik revolution, left-wing, communism, robber of private property, whatever you want to call it, it’s of the left.

Are you saying that the left doesn't want to make private property communal? That's communism, communism is left-wing, which is what Stalin did, he took away all the private property from the people and squandered it.

Why would any of you take this writer seriously? The retraction alone shows his rampant bias against Ed Asner. The way he retold the story made it sound as if Asner was gushing over the possibility to play a murdering psycopath when the reality was that he showed this historical figure as one that has been ignored by history. And we all know what happens when you ignore history....you get another Reichstag! Oooops. bad example....

The left that you speak of is hypothetical; it has never been a reality outside of Hollywood television magic. Utopia would be nice but so far all those lefties that have promised it, Stalin, Mao, and Hitler only turned a good idea into living hell.
