...Or more accurately, "Open Access." Open Access to research papers and results is now a requirement for Wellcome Wellcome Trust grant recipients.

The Wellcome Trust policy on open access to the research it funds came into effect on the 1 October 2005. Wellcome is the first scientific research funder to insist that articles that result from research it funds are placed in an open access repository.
