If I'm low on cash, my favourite "budget beer" is Oranjeboom. Cheap yet tasty, and strong enough to be worth drinking. And what a name!

ORANJEBOOM

But if I've got the funds, I stick to bottles. At the moment, some of my favourites are: Black Sheep Ales, Riggwelter and Emmerdale in particular.

The Wychwood Ales and Beers, in particular Goliath, Hobgoblin and Circlemaster. Absolutely glorious beverages if i do say so myself.

But at the moment, to me, NOTHING beats an icy cold Newcastle Brown. Nothing. I cannot get enough of the stuff, it's just put a spell on my palate :w::w::w:

EDIT: Carling on the other hand, should be outlawed on the grounds of Criminal Blandness and Taste Negligence. I can't bear it unless I'm already too tanked to care otherwise...

Bass or Sam Adams. Easy to find, smooth and not so dark and thick you need a spoon.

Beyond a doubt, Victory Storm King Stout!

From a great local (Burbs of Philly) brewery! Has hints of chocolate, caremel, cofee and bitter hops. Great every time!

On a side note, for all of you beer lovers out there looking for new beers to try, I highly recomend BeerAdvocate.com. Hundreds of beer reviews and such.

Blue Moon for me.

Of course, I'm now working in Pottsville, so I should say Yuengling Lager.

Yuengling, America's oldest brewery.

My all time favorite is Celis White, but I haven't seen it in a long time, and the website appears kind of old, so not sure if you can still get it.

And for you dark beer lovers, you may want to try Samichlaus, 14 per cent alcohol by volume.

I tried it once many years ago and boy is it thick and potent!
