The remains of 482 victims of "Ethnic Cleansing" in the 1995 Srebrenica massacre have been uncovered in a mass grave in the village of Liplje in Bosnia. Indentification of the victims is proving difficult with only 8 bodies complete and individual victims remains being scattered in as many of three dump sites. 1000 people have been found in other graves in the area, all muslim victims of Serbian troops who overran the Bosnian enclave of Srebrenica which had been declared a safe zone by the United Nations. It is understood that 16,000 bodies have been pulled from mass graves in the country since the war and the death toll from the war was around 260,000. The victims were mainly muslim men and boys, who were "ethnically Cleansed" in the war which involved the Croatian Catholics, Serbian Orthodox and Bosnian Muslims.

The leader of the forensic team, Murat Hurtic, said that of the hundreds of sets of remains found, only eight were complete, indicating the victims' bodies had been moved from one site to another in an attempt to hide them.

Hurtic said the bodies in the mass grave in the village of Liplje had been removed from another site by bulldozer.

The remains of another 1,000 people have been found in four other mass graves in Liplje, Hurtic said. The identification process is difficult, he said, because an individual's remains can be scattered in as many as three different sites.

"We actually cannot say exactly how many people were buried in this grave. Experts will now start examination of bones found in all five sites and try to reassemble as many skeletons as possible," Hurtic said.

Once again religion is the root and base of a war and attrocities committed upon fellow man. These relgious Wars bring out the very worse base mentality of mankind. and religions supposed to preach love and light and all things nice?????

After reading your article I decided to search Yahoo and typed in 1995 srebrenica massacre and the first web site was this :
www.gendercide.org/case

The only thing, while growing up, was all about the Germans killing the Jews... I am so sick to my stomach as to how I have gone through life not know about all the other atrocities through out the world..

I went up on the right hand corner and clicked on "case" and began reading all of the case files especially the one about Holy Killings....

Give this one a read.

Very interesting and enlightening article...and so sad.

Try taking off the word case -- it brings you to the main site and you can then go to case on the left hand side.

Hope this helps

Helen -- sorry -- that is what happens when DH is rushing me out the door to go for a ride to see if the flooding had gone down and if one of the local bays had been opened up to the ocean yet to go fishing.

what I meant was exactly what Nygdan said -- the original link had the word case at the end of the link like this www.gendercide.org/case .... and I was just trying to say drop that word from the link -- sorry for the confusion.

I'm sick of reading about the massacres of that short little war. If they know who ordered it and who did it then prosecute them but enough... that war is over, its time to let wounds heal.
