The number of members on ATS has grown to amazing new heights, some names are easy to pronounce and some names are incredibly difficult to pronounce.

So if you would all be so kind could you please show everyone how to pronounce your user name...

Example

UK Wizard

you-kay wiz-ard

you deserve a slap if you cant pronounce my user name

UK,
Thanx for setting me straight! I always thought your handle was pronounced like "UG Weezard"

Mine is fairly easy, I think, Kensheero 2012.

What does the UK stand for?

Mine is pronounced with the J making the Y sound as in the German Jah. I chose the name as I was lost as a small child and raised by Yaks.

Here's a picture of my adoptive grandfather:

Well UK couldn't possibly stand for unkind *wink*.

Mine is pronounced like the Dickens character - Nicholas Nickleby - as I was raised by a group of wild illiterate orphans who make up their own rules, paint their faces and have roasted pigs and tribal dances ... wait a minute... oh DOH!!!!... wrong story!

Forget nikelbee, I will now be known as Litt'lun

Mine is pronounced 'mah guah'... the 's' is silent and the 'q' is like a 'g'.

It is taken from 'the bear' in the Ojibwa migration legends.

Mine's actually a mix of Japanese great white north and downhome southern inbreeding...

Hokkaido:
"ho", as in a woman of questionable virtue or flat headed garden tool
"kkai", as in...well, um...think of holding the sound of "k" in the back o' your
throat, then "eye"
"do", as in play-dough that wonder stuff that mom used to make from flour,
salt, and a bit o' water.

Hillbilly (must be said with an obnoxious "Deliverence" inspired accent)
"Heel" as in the the heel of one's foot
"Billih" ...well, you can figure it out

I got one that many people can't pronounce (not to mention spell).
OK, here it goes:
ace-k-v-ah-k............It's all two sylables (ace-kwak). In case your all wondering, my last name is Kwak, a true Polish last name (I am 100% percent Polish and I speak 2 languages)

So, you think you non-Poles/Germans (Everyone who I met that speaks German can perfecly pronounce it due to language similarities) can say it right?

[this is what I sometimes want to do to people who mess with the name]
:bash:
GRRRRRRRR!
:bnghd:

The deur is suppose to that that blatantly french sound that sounds like soft "air." Go learn 15 minutes of French and they will tell you.
