Here he is... The new James Bond.

It's Craig. Daniel Craig.

The 37-year-old star of of the gangster film Layer Cake has been chosen as the next James Bond, British newspapers are reporting this week.

Craig will make his debut as 007 in Casino Royale, according to both the Sun and the Daily Mail.

The dude is Blond, James Blond. No biggie that can be fixed. I haven't seen him in Layer Cake although I've been meaning to watch it.

That was a great movie, and he was fantastic in it. Once they fix the hair color, he should be fantastic.

Problem? He's too old, and won't be able to last very long. We need another Sean Connery.

Brosnan is a hard act to follow. I'm sure the same was said about Connery.

I agree, he is the best, I wish Movies would keep the same people in movies. I hate when they change.

As he walked up the gangplank he was ambushed by a barrage of questions. Asked how he was feeling about his new role, a beaming Craig replied: "I’m speechless at the moment."

His first mission will be to star in the next movie - a remake based on the first ever Bond book, Casino Royale. It will be Bond's 21st outing.

At the press conference, Craig revealed that he has been a Bond fan since he was boy, and promised to take the role in a new direction.

Speaking about the challenge he faces taking on the job, he said: "I’ve just got to step up to the plate and deal with it."

I think I'm the only person on the planet that thinks Roger Moore was far and away the best James Bond.

It's the British Secret Service right? Isn't Sean Connery a Scot?? That always bugged me for some reason.

Yes, Sean Connery was born in Scotland.
George Lazenbyis is Australian.
Roger Moore is English.
Timothy Dalton was born in Wales.
Pierce Brosnan is Irish.

And Daniel Craig? He was born in Chester, England and he grew up in Liverpool.

You might just be the only one who thinks that, but its alright. Some people fall to the darkside.

I would even put Dalton over Moore.

With that being said, however, you put up a picture of my favorite Bond move.

Hey, I had no problem with Dalton. He was probably my second favorite, he just got some really crappy movies to work with in my opinion.

He could have been the best given better scripts.

Female Bond. Still named James. Every bit the English Ho 007 always is, only a bird. It'd be the first Bond movie I went to see willingly in 20 years.

I agree though. 007 needs to be remade from the ground up. I never even seen Tomorrow Never Dies and The World is Not Enough.

This will be the 21st 007 film coming up. They really need to find a way to make it fresh.

It was Roger Moore's birthday yesterday. He turned 78.

I rented "Layer Cake" last night .

I enjoyed it a lot and I really got a feel as to how Daniel Craig will be playing 007.

A dark James Bond film staring Daniel Craig will defiantly drive me into the theater.

Hey Fred, I too agree that Moore had become a little hard to look at eventually. At least I think that was where you were going with that.

I always saw James Bond as the most proper of British gentlemen. Moore personified that IMO. Like I said before, I think I'm in the minority on Moore though.
