I just wanted to make a lil thread for my kitten who sadly died today,
Baby boo was 3 months old and was the size of a 4 week old kitten due to a genetic illness that stunted her growth, We have battled against all odds to keep her alive and over come a major infection she had only 2 weeks ago, her brother forest was put to sleep 3 weeks ago with the same problem
The Vet did not even think she would last a night, But she did and she started to recover and even start to play, I sat up every night to feed and give her medication, Sadly today she lost her battle due to her small size her body organs could no longer hold up,

Im am shocked as last night she was feeling so well and playing, I held her most of the night giving cuddles,

I hope in some way by making this post there short lives will be rememberd,

Sadly i have only a picture of baby boo as forest deteriated very fast (in a matter of a few hours)

Sorry to hear that

Some cats go through their nine lives faster than others, but the most important thing is that every life is a happy one and you certainly gave her that.

Thanks all, Really helps me feel better... Sounds alittle silly but i wrote a little poem for her, guess its just a way for me to express my thoughts,
I know some would say "ah its only a cat", but i know for those out there who have one they wil understand its like losing something really special.

My heart hurts,
I feel all mixed up,
I want you here,
You gave me so much.

I cant imagin a day,
Without you right here,
I wish for more moments,
To be able to hold you near.

I cant believe that you are now gone
I thought you where getting better,
We fought the battle for so long

But angels called you,
And I had to let you go
Just no I will never forget you
In my heart our love will grow,

Not silly at all. When I lost my cat, it was devastating. I bawled and bawled. It's to be admired the connection you can develop with these animals.

I feel for ya, and I'm there for ya.

I commend you for your efforts. My wife and I took on a couple of kitties some years back under similar circumstances. The vet outright told us "don’t get your hopes up, I don’t expect them to make it".

Well, they are 6 years old now, fat, healthy, and happy as clams. So although your effort turned out differently than mine, your heart and effort was in the right place and if those kitties had any chance at all they would have made it because of you.

One of my “hard case” kittens has grown into a 20 pound monster!

The kitty in this picture is "Lucy". She is the offspring of those kittens we rescued:

Sorry for the loss, and please don’t let this experience keep you from trying this again in the future.

Cats dying sucks! We lost four cats all at the same time because they all drank from a small puddle of antifreeze that was in the street.

Kittens dying sucks even more!

Say a prayer to St. Francis.

Peace

asala,

My wife and I are truly saddened by your loss.

We also recently got some kittens from the local shelter and have been nursing them back to health for several weeks.

May your kittens rest in peace with the love you gave them in life.

And may God bless you with peace during this difficult time.

I'm sorry to hear that, asala

It's really sad when they don't make, especially when you get attached to them

My cat, Luna, had two kittens the first week of September. One was stillborn, and the other, Amber, lived a week, but she died too. It was really sad, especially how Luna dealt with it. She walked around the house meowing and crying and you could see she was lonely.

From the sounds of it your kittens had the best of love and care; you didn't give up on them, and despite losing them I'm betting you've got some wonderful memories of your time with them that you'll cherish. Baby boo was a beautiful kitten.

Aww, that's really upsetting. I really feel for you asala.

I would say that maybe your kittens are in a better place, but from reading the thread I believe the best place they could've experienced happiness would've been with you.

I'm truly saddened for your loss.
Chin up, my thoughts are with you
