I am so glad you guys? are responding..
It tells me a lot about the membership here.
A cobbler has no shoes, and a watchmaker has no watch

I own many fine timepieces, but only wear to operas, etc. as I do not want a watch watcher peg me.LOL
One cannot understand what alchemy it is to be handed an abused fine timepiece and to be able to get it back to life..it is an awesome rush.

PS where are the lady watch wearers?

A bit of trivia for anyone who admires wind-up or automatic-wind watches.
The main part that matters is the hairspring.
It must be aligned with all the other parts do that it 'breathes' as it goes around, it and out like the breathing of human..
There ia a watch called the Dudley that it's parts are all Masonic symbols, and it is such a wonder to see.
Kudos to all the original watchmakers, as they had guidance grom the heavens..in case anyone is interested, as I am so sad to see quartz popularity which I do not really consider a watch..
