I have often wonder just how many different countries and nationalities are represented among the membership of ATS/BTS. I would be curious to see the "depth and breadth" of this amazing site.

As for myself, I am an American, of Lithuanian extraction, who happens to live in Canada. Well geez, I guess I cover 3 distinct groups right there. What about other members?

American, with mostly European blood in me, from way back. Our family on my fathers side came over in the 1700s. On my mothers side we have American Indian blood, supposedly related to Pocahontas, but I'm still researching into that.

Australia here (did the avatar give it away?
). There are quite a few of us Aussies here at ATS. My family is originally from Ireland on my father's side and Scotland from my mother's. My great great ... grandfather was deported to Australia back when it was a British penal colony for stealing a rooster to feed his family.

Black American

Gemwolf, my parents are from Africa, just don't remeber where. I've actually lived there for awhile when I was a kid. If I can recall, its really hot down there. But I do remember I liked the place.

Take 1/4 German
Mix with 1/4 Italian
Add another 1/4 Irish
Sprinkle the remaining 1/4 with English, Cherokee + Delaware Native American.
Shake it up for a couple of generations and it = ME!!!!

Edit: Almost forgot, I also live U.S.

New Zealander...specially a Maori.

Do have some Celtic Blood in there back down the line...and a sneaky French Whaler back in 1830...but predominately the bloodline is Maori.

I'd sent a suggestion not long ago that it might be cool to display a global map or graphic representation of the geographic disbursement of membership. Just to show the reach of the site. IMHO, one of the best things about this site is the ability to interact with such a globally diverse membership.

I'm in the US, and have enough mixed European ancestry to qualify as a 100% mongrel, although my surname is definitely German, for whatever that's worth.
