Hi all I've recently heard of a document by the name of.
"united grand lodge constitution of 1960"
I've tried to do some searches on this, but havent found anything. Can anyone shed any light on this for me please?

There would be over 2,000 such documents from around the world, serving different countries and drafted at different times.

The document you refer to is of no lesser or greater value than any other, and there is probably no reason for it to have been published on the internet.

I've personally never seen the one you refer to.

It would serve an equivalent purpose to Rotary, Lions, Apex, Kiwanis or any other service club governing documentation.

Ok well from what i know this one is to do with the uk. But as to it's value, what kind of things would you expect to find in such a document?

Things I would expect to see:

* rules and regulations
* some means of co-operation between the bodies in England, Scotland, Ireland
* what the senior officers are called and how senior officers get elected or appointed
* the authority by which member 'clubs' are levied
* the authority by which member 'clubs' get new members to join
* the frequency of UGL meetings, and so on and so forth.

Really pretty much the same as any voluntary organisation, no secrets or anything in those kinds of documents, in my opinion.

THat is really interesting,mm, if you get more info spread the word. I guess that is what you are doing anyway. But I am not surprised at this incident, stuff like this happens all the time. Keep us informed!!!
