Around 5:10 AM (EDT) the network connection between the two servers failed and is still down. I've rerouted an alternate (very Star Trek sounding) for the boards so some services might still be down (like ATSNN).

Trouble-ticket initiated with provider, stay tuned.

SO, I'd just like to echo everyone else here in thanking you. I know you've been burning the midnight oil in trying to keep it up as I saw the problem when I tried to pull up ATS this morning (SQL server errors)

I have to ask, was it a hardware failure in the network or a software glitch?
I guess I'm wondering if it was internal or external... I'm thinking software since I got the message that the site was down for maintenance and not the typical 404 error.
I guess this is going to spawn its own conspiracy theories...

Well, I would like to place my shared thoughts on this, if I can.
In my time here, I have witnessed many things and have been apart of many things, but as par, some simply take for granted what some do around here, from what SkepticOverlord to the moderator staff do and does.

I would like to sincerely thank SkepticOverlord for all the work he has done within and for ATS, for the sacrifice of realworld time and devotion that he has given to making ATS and this community better, and among the forefront of other like online communities. Sincere mention should be made and given for SimonGray, Springer, William One Sac, Bob88, Kano, John Bull1, Valhall, Zedd, and to ALL those past and current staff members that I have failed or neglected to mention who have given devoted time to making this place operate better.

To this, I salute you all with my utmost, sincere respect and 'thanks.'
May we all find the time to let you all know that your continued efforts are noticed and appreciated.

I did have a bit of trouble getting on this morning, but I'm sure not doing any complaining while the bugs are being worked out. The pages are loading super fast right now and it's so nice to be out of low bandwidth mode again.

Fantastic job and a big thank-you to everyone involved in the upgrade.
