Anyone got any pure vegan recipes they'd like to share?

(By pure vegan I mean no eggs or milk either, that would be ovo-lacto vegan, I'm asking for just fruits, veggies and nuts)

do a search in this forum for Dhal or Dahl? not sure how Parrhesia spelled it, but that's a great vegan recipe.

what kind of recipes are looking for, something out of the ordinary or the basics, like stew cabbage, or stuffed peppers?

I have a recipe for vegan vanilla cake.

It is the yummiest cake I've ever tasted.

1 1/3c cane sugar (or any other kind)
1/2c margarine (flichmens in the two little tubs are vegan. one tub is
one cup. if you arent vegan you can use butter)
3c unbleached flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
2c soy or cows milk
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon almond extract

-cream margarine and sugar
-add flour, baking powder and salt
-add soy milk, vanlla and almond extract and mix until batter is
smooth and all the lumps of flour are disolved
-pour into greased 8X8 square pan
-bake at 350 degrees farenheight for 30mins or until well golden
-let it completely cool before icing

ICING!
melt a little
margerine, add some soy milk and then copious ammounts of icing
sugar (you only need a little marg/soy milk to make a lot of icing)
then once it was a nice thick consistancy add a splash of almond
extract.

enjoy!

That vanilla vegancake sounds yummy, Parr//

If you want low,low fat....replace the margarine with apple puree....
boil enough apples and mash them.....or to the grocery store..

Hmm, ill be making this soon!

I have a similar recipe ......tastes like Choc mud cake......dense chocolate cake.
