A Tunisian passenger plane crashed into the Mediterranean Sea near the Italian island of Sicily, killing at least 13 people.

The Tunisair plane had left Bari, Italy, and was on its way to the Tunisian resort island of Djerba when it reported engine trouble and was forced to ditch in the sea, Italy's ENAV air safety agency said.

Officials said most of the 39 people who were aboard are thought to have been Italian tourists.

This is another tragic event for the flying community. In a mater of days another plane has crashed but amazingly again there have been survivors that have lived. Although you hear stories of plane crashes a lot lately it is still the safest way to travel if you can believe that.
