New member here in the Army...

Hey, what's up, you all? My name is Patrick(or Pat for short)and I just recently became a member here at the ATS forums....First a little info on me, I am a Soldier in the US Army who is stationed up at Fort Drum, NY...Before you even ask, no I am not privy to any "top secret" info on UFOs or stuff(I am just a E-4, Specialist)...I have been into UFO's and other paranormal subjects since I was 12(I am now 26) and it kinda waned a little over the past few years...But the other day, I bought the game(which is totally fictional) "Destroy All Humans!" for my Xbox(which has a shadowy orginazation in it called Majestic, which is based loosely on the real Majestic 12 orginazation...)...Anyway, the game inspired me to do some web searching on the real MJ-12 and I came across this site(Edited url from post) and I have become enthralled....I have even been giving some thought about starting my own UFO site...Mostly centering on MJ12, Dulce, and Roswell....Anyway, I hope to make a lot of friends here and have a lot of interesting conversations...anyone want to talk about Majestic 12? Does it/did it really exist, are the documents authentic? I am open to your theories...

I'm pretty sure the documents are authentic, they've been talked about before on ATS.
Oh and there's another game called "Majestic" by EA (I think) and it hardly sold any copies, but in the game you're someone trying to find stuff out about Maj12 and UFOs etc, and you get real life calls through your phone and faxes and AIM/AOL conversations. Pretty crazy game, but EA lost major bucks making it.

Yeah I read about that game...Unfortunatly, at the time I didn't have a PC(just a Mac)so I couldn't play it...Being in the military, I sometimes worry that my high interest in UFO's & govt conspiracies will get the MIBs on my butt...lol

Some of those docs are bogus, others seem quite legit, so be wary. Look at their rating system and understand it, to see what's likely what. They aren't always accurate though. There are some rated high that are bogus.

Be sure to check our "Best Cases" thread at the top of the forum, for some great info by members.

Also, check out the FOIA released official documents for the CIA, FBI, and just general under "Unexplained Phenomenon" on the official FOIA sites.

Just remember, there is a LOT of disinfo and outright lies out there on the subject of UFOs, so tread carefully...

That's a great game hey! The people that made that game have done their research.

Welcome to ATS. My father retired a full bird from the Army a few years ago after a 35 year career. Always good to meet one of our troopers! Thank you for what you do.

Personally I feel that the 3 main MJ-12 documents are authentic. If you have not yet you might want to find the book 'Top Secret/Majic' by Stanton Friedman. In my opinion he is one of the very best researchers we have and that book is just a great read. It also helps a lot to counter the people who have tried so hard to disprove the MJ-12 docs.

What I look for in any research is comprehensiveness, looking at all the possibilities and not just fixating on what we want to be true. I have never seen anyone who confronts the critics as honestly as Stanton does.

What you will find when you do read the various debunking attempts is a lot of nit-picky little details. I understand that most just want to be sure but in my experience life is full of inconsistances. I have seen for example documents that are without a doubt real that have their own faults and odd little quirks. For me the subject matter of the MJ-12 docs is so out of the ordinary that it doe not surprise me that there are some things that are just not standard. It seems unreasonable to me that such documents would be created just like any other.
