Ismael Abdurahman, a 23 year old man, has been charged under the Terrorim Act over the botched London bombings of July 21 2005. He is the first person to be charged over the bombings. 14 other people are being questioned over the attempted attack.

A man arrested by police investigating the 21 July failed bomb attacks in London has been charged under section 38 of the Terrorism Act, police say.

Ismael Abdurahman, 23, of Newport Street, Kennington, south east London, is the first person to be charged in connection with the incidents.

Hold the lynch party. Apparently he was not directly involved in the bombing, he just knew they were going to take place. A sort of aiding and abetting a terrorist. Not saying he shouldnt be jailed, but he's not a bomber.

The charge alleges that Ismael Abdurahman, from southeast London, "had information he knew or believed may be of material assistance in securing the apprehension, prosecution or conviction of another person in the UK for an offense involving the commission, preparation or instigation of an act of terrorism."
