NEWS: Bomb blast in train in India leaves 10 dead, page 1

Ten people have been killed and over 50 others injured in a bomb blast on a moving passenger train in India. The blast occurred when the train was near Jaunpur, in northern Uttar Pradesh state, about 640km east of the capital New Delhi.

At least ten people were killed and over 50 others injured when a bomb tore through a compartment of the Shramjeevi Express train.

The explosion took place between Jaunpur and Sultanpur stations in Uttar Pradesh at about 5.20 pm (IST).

Efforts were on to identify the victims and relief and rescue operations were on in full swing.

Meanwhile, the police have recovered 22 bombs from the Dhanbad-Gaya passenger train. Four people have been detained in this connection.

This is a horrific tragedy that comes just after the nation was rocked by the news of an explosion in a major oil rig yesterday that killed many workers.

Hopefully the guilty behind this hineous act of terror will be brought to justice.

The trains in Madrid were attacked. The subways and buses in Lodon were attacked. They caught men in new jersey plotting to attack NYC's subways and other locations. And now the trains in India are attacked.

True, this could've been, say, the Tamil Tigers (tho the north is a little far for them no?) or just regular clashes. But I think I see a pattern. Just a little bit.

And also notice that it attacks 'the old enemies'. The imperialists and colonialists (UK), al-analus (spain), the modernizeing secularist wastrels (the US) and the outright polytheists-pagans (India).

Contrary to popular belief..India has been one of the oldest targets of islamic terrorism(since 1989) when the kashmir insurgency started..But then it was viewed by many in the west as a "freedom struggle".. the funny thing was the "Freedom struggle" had only "foreign" insurgents taking part in it

Only post 9/11 has the west come to ponder whether the problem in Kashmir is really a freedom struggle or a foreign funded insurgency operation/proxy war..

And as for the blast.. well there is stil no confirmation on whether it was accidental or intentional..I'm getting reoprts of a possibility of gas cylinders going off..
