Terrorism controlled by SF or Conventional troops?

It seems the role of DELTA and other SF units are evolving towards clandestine espionage. DELTA recruits through global SF allies. Our teams are multi-cultural and have seemed to take on a new role since the days of Mogadishu - that of support.

Now with operations spanning the globe and a greater freedom of H&I (harassment and interdiction) do you believe DELTA and other CT units such as DEVGRU (ST6) should continue to specialize in counter terrorist operations or make strategic strikes with conventional forces?

The FBI's HRT has been training with DELTA since their inception and is completely capable of handling action inside CONUS. What role do you believe DELTA and other CT units should now take on?
