Wait a minute arent they running a day or two late on the beginning date.

The Pope was held in state 4 days then buried right and within 7 day the conclave conveigns and then in 15 days they appoint new Pope isnt that the way it goes.....Or did the media fubar another story or am I just confused.

Didnt he pass on the 30th of March I may be having time zone lag and thats where the confusion is....

I believe he passed away on April 2. The conclave starts April 18th. The earliest it can start is 15 days after a pope dies and no more than 20 days after a pope dies.

Many appologies got screwed up on date of passing I guess but they have to start with in 15 days not 7 and finish no later than 20 not 15 right? thanks
