Just wondering now that Turkey is often spelled Turkiye in English (thankfully most lazy sods at politically correct news-outlets don't bother with the umlaut), what is the correct form of "Turkish"?

What is the adjective or language?

"Turkiye-ish", or does only the proper noun for the country count, which would be a rather half-hearted change, or re-naming?
More a linguistic or grammar issue, but hope I've still got it correctly by writing "Turkish".

Ahem ... please note:

The country formerly known as Turkey, is now Türkiye.

That is so metal, congratulations.

And the adjective please?

As one of several reasons given for the name change, this is perfectly reasonable:

The country’s English language public broadcaster TRT World said, the move would help to disassociate the country’s image from the large bird of the same name.

Coff, but you know, the Americans, they also call a bad movie that flopped a "turkey" too.

I mean now with the new name and everything, I guess I can tell you.

türkçe : (sounds like "türkCHe"). The ç is pronounced like 'ch' in "church", and the 'ü' is pronounced as in German (form your lips to say "ooh", but then try to pronounce a short 'i' as in 'it').

All groovy, but essentially, I want to know, what is the adjective of Turkiye?

Is it still "Turkish eggs" and "Turkish delights"?

Until i get an authoritative answer, perhaps I should call them "Ottoman eggs"?

As in, we're going to the "Turkish bath" ... oops, "Ottoman baths".

Oh no, today is for women only.

Fear not gents, tomorrow is another plunge.

Excuse me it's ma'am, and i demand a hot bath and a violent Ottoman massage right now!

Sorry, that ruse ain't gonna work in Cape Town.

Damn, I put on the mascara for nothing.

Why not just use "Turk" for "Turkish".

And the baths are "Hammam" ("Ha-mum")?

Indeed, it's a Turkish Hamman.

Well,"hamman" in Islamic culture is just a bathhouse.

Got no hot water at home?

You can get yourself clean.

Yip, even in mid-winter.
