No doubt certain countries would have been nuked long ago if the US thought they could do it without also suffering nuclear reprisals. The greatest danger of nuclear war has never been from so called "rogue states" it has always been from the only country that has ever used them, that is also the most warmongering nation on earth.

Yea, we all know if Russia had atomic bombs contemporaneous to WWII they would have never used them against Hitler...

Odd isn't it that, immediately following WWII, when that "one country", which was the only country to possess the Atom bomb at the time, "allowed" all other countries, including then socialist Russia, to continue to exist?

Different time, different circumstances.

I think everyone who has spent even the smallest amount of time learning about the War in The Pacific knows that if the US had not have dropped those bombs the war would have dragged on for quite a few years and probably a damn sight more US and Japanese people would have died.

Another consideration is that there simply wasn't the threat of MAD then. The USA was the only country with The Bomb.
Maybe doesn't make it right in some people's eyes but it is a harsh reality nonetheless.

And the fact is that sooner or later someone was going to use a nuclear weapon on another country. That it happened when it did should serve as a harsh lesson why we should never, ever let another be used again, no matter by whom.
There is absolutely no excuse to use one now, every single person on earth knows full well the devastation they cause and the potential implications for each and every one of us.

At present the only country that is threatening to use first strike nuclear weapons is not the USA.
You know full well who it is and yet you still insist on making excuses for them and trying to justify their actions.

You do know of the alleged time when the then Soviet Union was running nuclear missile drills, and supposedly a glowing orb hovered over the base and the power was off for awhile?

According to Lukashenko's opposition and even then he said the poison element was not verified.

LOL supposedly, perhaps that was when he was informed he was going to host nuclear weapons on Belarussian soil. Perhaps the thought gave him a bit of gastric distress

Russia should find out how the F16's are coming to Ukraine and take them out as soon as they are parked for the night.

To be fair I don't think Trump really cares who wins. I mean the guy has been all over the place when it comes to the Russia vs Ukraine war. Early on during the war Trump was pretty gung-ho about not only sending Ukraine weapons but using the US military in some compacity to help Ukraine (source Fox News call in Interview).
