Target are removing certain LGBTQ and Pride month merchandise from its stores nationwide after backlash from some customers.

In a article they wont state whatever the backlash was from Christians, far right or none Christians who were likely not quite happy to see the merchandise for the younger children.

"They removed the article for some reason"

Target becomes latest company to suffer backlash for LGBTQ+ support, pulls some Pride month clothing

Some on twitter are still defending Target and the Pride month merchandise even suggesting that "No one is going after the children"

Furthermore some claim they were pandering to the right i would believe much of the criticism towards Pride month merchandise actually comes from Muslim/Arab families than the far right.

If you see the things they were aggressively marketing & selling to kids, it's easy to see why parents and concerned citizens who aren't even "traditional", "conservative" or "religious" were appalled by the phrases/propaganda/etc. Target was promoting. Sad that this narrative and normalization is adamantly defended/promoted by radicals who now think they are just being "progressive & accepting"

A business should stay neutral on stuff like that. Even aligning themselves with a religion is bad unless all their clientele are from that religion. Same with politics. Big businesses used to donate to both parties campaigns to stay neutral in the past, now they are siding with one side or the other which alienates them from those who do not believe as they do. It is bad business.

Target should not have gotten involved in a controversial thing that divides people, neither should beer companies. The Bud Lite VP of sales sure screwed things up but I think the thing to consider is that the person who actually put her in charge and did not keep her from doing what she did should be looked at because that person is also not a good business minded individual. That VP's remark's after she authorized the video were much worse than the video was. Calling beer drinkers frat minded and other things was not very intelligent to do.
