Sat phones issued to congress personnel

It seems that this one is doing the rounds, with regards to congressmen getting issued with satellite phones, in case of a calamity. It tends to smell like another event is in the wings waiting for a rollout. If the poking of the bear continues, it looks like they might need them to coordinate government. But surely the bear knows what satellites do, and what, so they would be targeted first as they can not really be protected. So it might be nothing to do with the bear at all. Could it be another potential emergency unfolding, which hints at civil unrest where cell phone towers tend to get targeted? At the rate of the Totalitarian two step being rolled out, it might suggest that emergency laws or even a state of emergency might have to be declared in the near future. Because one thing is for sure this lot can't afford to be in any weak position to push their ideology. So far we have the Government buying up all available radiation pills. Russia can't even accurately target the country next door. There's no way they'd be able to take down our satellite network.

That said, with the overhaul to COG that was done after 9/11 I'm kind of surprised this move wasn't taken 20 years ago.

Is plausable that they are preparing for something. i mean, if i started # around the world for 200 years i would expect some # too....js

but it is also plausable that they are changing systems/protocol
