My take…

Dark is simply the absence of light just as cold is the absence of heat (movement of molecules).

Absolute dark and absolute cold aren’t a thing. They describe the absence of a thing.

Darkness is the absence of light.

Light or visible light is electromagnetic radiation whereas darkness well that's simply the absence of light.

As to love, well yes that can indeed be rather chaotic, to say the least.

my take:

Darkness is the first fundamental,
there has to be darkness to be able to create and experience light.
Chaos is the basics of creation (energy with endless possibilities)
embrace Chaos = embracing entire potential

Light = order out of chaos inside the darkness

Technically darkness is not the opposite of light but the absence of such, at least from a physics perspective.

Philosophically speaking though i suppose that's a true enough notion to hold.

We don't have much of a collective understanding of what light is.
