I have no real plans for this, I just wanted to try it because I found myself bored with an image in my head. If it goes well it would be interesting to see somebody add to it. I didn't take it too far- i wanted to leave it flexible so if anyone wants to join in they can steer the plot.

From windy night, with moon obscured,
Free men creep, to stalk the scourge.
Wind and water storm. You don't shiver
When cold blood and tears run like a river.
Sentries evaded, blinded by the squall.
Centuries waited, now tyrants fall.

Quickly! They steal through darkened halls.
Quiet! Hide in shadow, blend with walls.
Clamoring armor- guards on patrol.
Chattering unaware- a routine stroll.
Slip the dagger 'round their necks and smite.
Sever veins and bonds at once and fight.

Resolve confirmed and dagger tried,
Rush his chambers 'ere hate subsides.
Blades flash, sweep, jab, miss, lock!
Break away, thrust, slash, block!
Doubt sets in with tyrants riposte.
One hero falls, a murderer boasts.

Simply removed, red and silver.
Not tonight! Doth despot quiver.
Cold bites harder than limp attempt,
Young felled combatant's plans perempt.
This night's not yet over, behold -
Conspirators take to the road.

Thanks for encouraging me to keep it going Zipdot. I have such a hard time carrying much of anything around here on for very long lately because of work, especially my writing. I just haven't had time to think. I am glad to see that this is being enjoyed though, so I've made a little time to give it another push.
I admit this one is a little sloppy. I wish I had more time to refine it and get the verses metered properly. I'm steering this towards a little bit of a super-natural aspect so that we won't just have a series of nondescript fights. Feel free still to do whatever you want with it.

In peasant's town beneath tyrant's keep,
Orphans plot and widows weep.
"Dark pact saves him from the blade.
All's left is the victory God's forbade."
"Vile murder! It shant be done,
Even if battle's not to be won!"

Alone, enraged, full of dissent,
For father's avenging he'll make the descent.
Old men's warnings go unheeded.
To fight a devil, The Devil is needed.
Seek one who summons the Father of Lies.
If dark pact's broken, the tyrant dies.

this is from the perspective of the villain. hope you like it.

The darkness that enshrouds the land
Is that which his will has borne;
Abaddon's black, fearsome hand
will soon strike out, the veil is torn

'twixt Hell and Earth; the darkness grows,
his might waxes with every day,
from Lucifer his power flows
that all of Earth might burn away.

The last of days do fast approach,
So soon shall come the final hour
Ever to on Earth encroach
For the black Lord doth grow in power.

The bargain's made, the pact is sealed,
the deed to hell's army is signed...
but one weapon doth Heaven weild:
the orphan that he cannot find.

"I call on thee O Lord of Flies
Come to me for I need disguise.
I'll trade my soul to avenge another
For I've seen the tears of my poor mother."

"I care not if the cost is high
My foe must surely, swiftly die.
Come to me now and strength my blade
And 'ere we off to forest glade."

"The fiercest battle must then ensue
We'll trap them and when all are slew
Then you may reap your reward
And become my Dark Lord."

Down here you will stay
never will you get away
from my grip, you'll see it's so tight
Grasped on your soul all day and night.
Pay you will now that day has come
I had my fill of you and you had your fun.
You better listen that I told that you can't run.
What are you thinking? Put down that gun!
I'm not here nor am i there
I am around you..I am everywhere!!
Your gonna don't cry..see a tear in my eye?
No you don't because your just another fish to fry...

Off we rode, cross field and marsh
Day and night, through weather harsh
Soon enough we reached our feud
And the greatest battle then ensued

"Charge!" I shouted, the stillness broke
And many fell by my sword stroke
Shield took sword and mail took knife
I searched for the taker of my fathers life

In two piles we placed the dead
One for torso, the other head
The piles were made, my heart filled with woe
As I hadn't found my one true foe

We mounted up and onward rode
Worsening weather the sky forbode
My path I feel is through the wood
Cross the river to where the mountains stood

"I killed the man, it had to be.
I did it for humanity.
He had wicked ways, his heart was dark.
His clothing hid the evil mark."

"An angel straight from heaven sent
Told me God's plan, so away I went.
Now his son does follow me
And from his rage I must flee."

"Lucifer is on his side.
Nowhere is safe for me to hide.
So I run across the land
And wait for the coming of God's hand."

Edit for explanation: I am starting to picture the villain as actually the hero. So this verse is from his perspective.
