Did Ron Desantis Just Announce His Bid for President?

So I’m sitting here having a lazy morning. I’ve got The Unxplained with William Shatner (History Channel) on in the background. A commercial just came on ‘Ron Desantis for President’. With a slogan of ‘Never back Down’ or something along those lines.

I’m trying to find it on the webs and can’t find anything. Should have pulled out my phone and recorded it.

I know I just saw it.

Anyone else seeing this?

Never Back Down has reserved airtime in a handful of early GOP primary states as DeSantis weighs a presidential bid.

A super PAC supporting Florida GOP Gov Ron. DeSantis' expected presidential run is out with a new TV ad touting the governor's biography.

DeSantis has not yet launched a run for president, but he is expected to jump into the race in May or June. While, DeSantis has been traveling the country as part of his book tour, Never Back Down has begun laying the groundwork to bolster an eventual presidential run. The new ad is the group's second to hit the airwaves.

It doesn't matter who the GOP nominates unless they can repair the split between MaGa and Rinos. Who would want to contribute campaign money to a party that's so divided and destined to continues to tear itself apart ideologically?

I will say watching them implode is very entertaining.
All they do is scream evil left and never put forth anything to help.
I have been having a blast watching the right just follow MTG as if she is god....

I didn't vote for Biden and I wouldn't do so this time around.

Who says the GOP is imploding and that centrists(Independents like myself) will not vote AGAINST whoever the DNC puts up? It will be the opposite of what they promoted and ran on in 2020. There was no agenda. It was just 24/7 TRUMPY BAD!!!!!!

Millions are being raised by the GOP and in the last 6-8 years a lot of RINOs have perished. It is what it needed. You then add in the minority turn and if was a fair and secure election there is no way a Democrat would win. The GOP, Mr Trump, gained votes from 2016 to 2020 while being so hated according to the media.

LGBT is the new abortion issue. Row vs Wade is gone. No need to argue. It is now my body my choice but instead of dead baby pics we get 300lb men dressing as women and pissing next to 14 year old girls. But please, tell me how it is so much better than the Cheeto days.

Food prices have DOUBLED at stores in less then 2 years. Gas and Energy have almost doubled. Crime is rampant.

In the end, DeSantis, as much as I love him as my governor, is not ready and would become a Romney, McCain or Dole when the time comes. Someone who 'looks' the part but he has more RINO then Elephant in him. All good, I would take him still over ANY Democrat but he is not ready. He should use it to fundraise, continue to create a base and look for a rising star as VP in 2028.

Maybe it's because it's a Tuesday but I'm really not feeling any Energy in this discussion, there seems to a real pessimism in the comments here and on the Brandon / Salad thread and an acknowledgement of just how broken the whole system is ...

Don't get me wrong, I don't get a ringside ticket because I'm not an American, but at the same time, as someone living in another part of the copycat western world I do still have a dog in the fight and I'm worried by the lack of passion.

At this point I think I could rally more votes for Ham Sandwich 2024

I agree I would rather see him make sure things go through with Disney, Open carry and campaign over seas to bring more shipping to Florida ports, plus a few other things.
Besides that I do not want to see him get involved with a Trump poop flinging clown show .
He is plenty young enough to wait until 2028 where he can finish his term then go on a two year blitz into 2028 where I think he would have full support.
