In this series on religion:

1. Who is Jesus to you?

2. Who is Satan to you?

3. Who is God to you?

It was a fantastic question I got today, had to share.

For myself it has been a duty. Not something I always want to do, but fit it in somehow. It has been the inspiration of nature at times that held some hope.

Beauty does exist. There is something in this world looking for a better way.

Light is such an amazing thing at times. To be able to experience such an deep and amazing world is a treasure. I know it does not come cheep, lot of blood, sweat and tears to get things this far.

In getting some situational awareness with the evil empire that has befallen this planet, they hate love. Don't even mention Jesus in some of these parts. The truth is like garlic to a vampire, they run real fast. It can also get you dead just as quick. Handle with care.

So just what kind of love do we need to save what so many of our ancestors have fought and struggled for? I know this stuff is like TNT, so how do we wrap it up and use it the way it is meant to be.

A love of family, life, community, yourself.

In looking for love I did find forgiveness. I have too much sin to throw that first rock. Nothing we can do about the past, it is done. How do we progress into the future. How to we send love to these evil despicable beings that are trying to kill off humanity to get stuffed. Do we just ignore them and move on. Or is there something we can do with the power of love.

What do we need to build a love bomb big enough to blow the ignorance away?

I would say that actions speak louder than words. For example, if you had a neighbor whose yard looked run down, you might check on them and find that they have not been well and, thus, the reason the grass is not being cut and the place is beginning to become an eye-sore. Rather than go on with your own routine, you recruit some friends and start freshening up the yard. Afterwards, you find out there are some other things that need fixing around the house and are able to help out there as well. This is love; putting others ahead of yourself as you surrender your comfort and routine to help another who is down. You have not asked for anything in return.

As others in the neighborhood start to see what you are your buddies are doing to help out this individual, they start to catch the vision. Next thing you know, they are helping one another as needed. It is not necessary to preach at people. Your life and actions will be a greater example of love to them. But it starts with a sacrifice. You must lay down your routine and be willing to give your time to another.

It is how it goes. Where do we put our time, how do we manage our priorities. So this love thing will take time.

Agreed.

It is a big thing to put a hold on your routine that you are used to and change course. It's like stepping out of your comfort zone from what is know to what is unknown, but the rewards can be great. Even knowing that, though, does not necessarily make it easy to give up one's routine.

A lot can happen in a day. If you find a good routine it is like that love vibe likes you. With hindsight you are going to have to fight for it at times. I don't know, it tough knowing when to hold, fold or just walk away.

When stepping out of that comfort zone, a trust in something bigger than me helped. I had done my homework, but when going further than before, I'm still here.

Family does work better on routine.

So for how to big this love bomb, it will take time and does require a routine.

1 John 3:16 "By this we know what love is: Jesus laid down His life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers."

John 15:13 "Greater love has no one than this, that one should lay down his life for his friends."

After experiencing the above mentioned love, I cannot say other than that this is love !

Romans 8:39 "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor principalities, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

I think you're going to run into a huge trap here, trying to define 'love'.

You can love your best friends (not romantically, but a connection)
Romantic love
Obsessive love (like a stalker)
love for an animal
love for children
love for a particular 'thing' you own (like your car, or perhaps something special in your house.)
love of a type of food (Chocolate for the WIN!)
love of something that's not good for you (drink, for example)
love of a book
love of an ideal
love of a piece of music
love for family
romantic love
love of country

Greeks had different words for these different types of love (as do some other languages). English seems to fall short here.

We are never separated from god, we just a small fraction of it. Some on the good side, some the dark side, most in the middle. I don't know about this afterlife stuff, deal with it when its my turn.

So the love of god is part of the universal nature that binds us all.

So this bomb will take time and regular effort on things that affects us all.

Ummm...Lust...there is no such thing as love...

Lust is abundantly everywhere...

As for beauty...again...lust...

It's all clinging...and desire...and dopamine and serotonin...

Merely denying some dat ignorance...

Well said. We do approach love in different ways depending what it is. Gotta love anything that makes our live better, but how do we define that in some overall love. Things that keep us alive, gonna love that emergency plumber that turn up at 3am, not so much the bill.

So out of all these definitions of love, what one hits the mark to avoid sinking ship.

So this bomb will take time and regular effort on things that affects us all with a clear definition.

I have tried to avoid that one, lust is not the kind of love I see to win this battle. When getting a family started and getting locked in it is a factor. A bit of porn in the morning to get the heart started...?

Lust is abundant, it is motivating. But is it appropriate when dealing with the sick, evil # trying to kill off the population. In the aftermath I guess it has a place, we would not be here with out it. As for building this love bomb, it is more an after shock than the detonator. Hopefully you avoided the jab so your fertility is not as bad as others, this stuff still has a lot of other vectors going on.

At least you have experienced beauty, something worth living for.

I would say that lust in selfish while love is selfless.

Lust puts oneself first.

Love puts others first.

Love is varying degrees of cynicism when describing it.

People have more of it than hamsters.

I had a friend from El Salvador. He thought it was really stupid that English had only one word for Love.

Anyway, I consider "general" Love a responsibility. Hanging in there during the tough times.

That is a loving part about it, a bit like humor with it double meanings.

So love is the time and effort in trying to describe something on multiple meanings.

Without Love we wouldn't have the evolution theory we experience on a daily basis. Who doesn't love some great insight in human history as we learn to defend ourselves as particles of Creation married to The Architect.
