New Zealand Tsunami Warning

I can't find nothing yet, but a warning just came on my phone. I checked the net before posting just now, but nothing showed up yet. This was just 3 minutes ago.
Maybe someone here in New Zealand has the latest news on it.

Magnitude 7.3 earthquake strikes Kermadec Islands region

April 24 (Reuters) - A magnitude 7.3 earthquake struck Kermadec Islands region near New Zealand on Monday, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) said.

The quake was at a depth of 10 kms (6.21 miles).

U.S. Tsunami Warning System said there is tsunami threat following the earthquake.

7.3, That's pretty good size. Happened 8:41pm my time believe it's saying which was just over 40 mins ago.

Yes tsunami threat issued for Aotearoa but not confirmed.

6 miles deep is shallow enough for an increased tsunami risk

7.3, thats a big one.

A neat thing about the Richter scale is that its a base-10 scale. Every whole number is ten times as strong as the previous. A "2" is ten times stronger than a "1". A "3" is one hundred times stronger than a "1", and so on.

A "7" will change your address...

Not seeing any abnormalities on the sea level monitor stations in the area....FWIW

Te local news says they are still deciding if there is a teal threat or not.

There I now no tsunami threat issued for Aotearoa, the threat hasneen lifted
