I can say that you should be there for him. Let him know you are also concerned and will be on the lookout with him. Don't lie and pretend its nothing. Don't offer him fake reassurances that it will just "go away."

Let him know that he is not alone in this. You are with him. You will be there whenever something like this happens.

Let him know he is not crazy. He is not full of it. And it is not "his fault." You believe he saw this.

Bad advice to indulge mental illness, especially in a child. Also bad to tell someone else like the OP what they believe.

Mental illness is a serious matter, and your son may be suffering from something. ATS is not the place to find help on this. Too many here indulging their own fantasy and motives.

No, it's 100% real this. I've seen them too, multiple times. Don't know what it could be though.

I believe it's the scent itself. These "things" can't stand certain smells/scents, so they become "detached" as was mentioned.

Check into hatman and shadow people. There's a ton of opinions though.

They are related to sleep paralysis in many accounts.
Many reports of an old lady that accompanied the "hatman"
She would reportedly sit on chests and cause breathing problems.
The multiple reports of the same character matching this description is absolutely bonkers.

Do not dismiss his experience, especially if it "runs in the family", shadow people are a mystery but one that has appeared throughout the ages, some people believe it's also a pre cursor to contact with other intelligences. Did you yourself have any strange dreams, lost time, weird marks appearing on your body when this happened to you as a child?

He wants to stay home alone, he complains if he doesn't get to stay home alone at times. And what do you mean with 'runs in the family' and 'other intelligences' ? Aliens? No lost time, as far as I know . Plenty of strange dreams though and other weird expreriences here and there.

This is a peculiar topic.

You know, "mental illness" would mean somewhere within you there's something causing you to see (things), and making a problem out of it. Something like you have wrong sight. Usually knowing what the problem is, there's a solution. Looking at someone who says he sees something you did not see, telling them it's a mental illness is also looking at them and saying something about them you do not see, someone who can see the mental plane could fix it.

On the other hand there could be mental issues without being the cause of apparitions, or even an enhanced mental sanity to see it.

Would it be bad seeing stick people when it does not influence your day in a bad way?

I would get more involved in his life to see if there is anything he is doing that you may not know about.

Honest question: how old is your son and what is he involved with chemically and alcoholically? I know the difference between the two types of natural and chemical "sightings" of the other world. I tried to scan this info in the thread so if I missed it, my apologies.

I used to see them up until some time in high school. I still occasionally "see things" that I go down the list with. I don't try to prove any of these points really, just get to the one that makes the most sense after a little observation.

1. Was it a reflection from my glasses, a window or mirror or some combination of those?

If I come down to that last possibility, I sing some songs out loud, totally get in to it, and it is so annoying to the paranormal entities that they leave and it could be months before they come back for another try.

Hugh Ross is a Christian Astrophysicist who has written a book on Aliens being spiritual and not belonging to our reality.
He co-wrote the book with other scientists who agree with his hypothesis, but who do not share his love of the Bible.

He talks about this very thing, and how to combat it. Many in this thread have said the same thing, you must invoke the name of Christ and command the spirits away.
Of course invoking such and not following the way is akin to nothing at all. I think it is the belief that Christ will intervene that drives these things away.

“Shadow people” are real, and are everywhere all the time we can’t see. I don’t know why sometime some people can catch glimpses of them. I know this 100% from personal experience. I’ve also been physically harmed countless times with bruises and cuts appearing while I sleep.

They are entities of some kind, could be demonic, energy related, inter dimensional or whatever I have no clue. From my personal experience and through years of research I found out that they feed on our negative energy; pain, sadness, hatred etc. this food or energy is sometimes referred to as “loosh”. they try to influence the more lower vibrational people around you to invoke negative emotions from you. I can go on and on.

Their is this one professional well accomplish astral projectionist that said that when in the astral realm he can see dark entities towering above people while they sleep, speculated to be extracting this negative energy.

I was curious so I googled "Shadow People" to see if they resembled what I remember and what my cousin and I talked about many years after her own encounter. I wanted to know if it was the same thing I saw. Compare the two and if they compare, maybe we're on to something but what?


What I found was - there are a lot of similar stories but descriptions are a little different each time. What my cousin and I witnessed at around the same ages in our lives were eerily similar.

Here are a few points that I can remember (stayed with me all these years):



- The shadow was always in a closet doorway.
- I saw this at her parents house when I was little - She saw this at my grandparents house when she was little. I lived with my GPs and she lived with her family.
- The shadow isn't a solid figure but you can't see through it. The shadow is always in a dark doorway with a darker darkness behind it so you can't see through it because black on blacker... It almost tends to blend but still stands out.
- The shadow has no features other than tall, humanoid and that's it. It has no face. No eyes. No outlined features. It's literally a black shadow within a shadow. I imagine if the area behind it was lit up, it would just be a black, smokey silhouette. You can't tell what kind of clothing it would have on if it even did. The figure was bulky but did still have a humanoid shape. You just couldn't always tell where the rest of it blended.
- The shadow had lights in it but they didn't give off light. They were smaller than pin pricks. If you hold your palms over your eyes and press, you get these pinhole lights that blink in and out of existance. This was very similar but the lights were so small they were almost unnoticable and they changed colors and moved and shimmered all through out the body. I must stress.. The shadow figure is BLACK and ghosty and the lights do not change that. They're there but they do not give off any kind of light.
- The figure seems to vibrate - much in the same way the lights show moving in small areas. If one could see atoms vibrating, I imagine this is what it would appear like.
- For my cousin, her shadow had no head. For me, it had a head.
- Both of our experiences took place early morning before dawn. I'd say around 3-4 am. I knew because my uncle got up for work at 5am that morning and I crawled in to bed with my aunt.
- It makes no sounds.
- It 'seems' to gesture with head motions.
- It seems to understand thoughts and motions in response to them.
- You understood it without words needing to be said. It wasn't speaking in my head or anything. I felt like I just knew.
- It claimed it wasn't there to hurt me.
- I have no idea why it was there.
- I felt like it was very powerful - or important - royal/high born - whatever
- I felt like it was evil, maybe? It didn't strike me as the angel of light or anything like that... More like an angel of death.
- I felt like large snakes were in the room, slithering around and near me.
- Even though I wasn't afraid, per say, I was stiff and couldn't move an inch. I think I was afraid but mentally not reacting. I don't really remember. I just remember I was calm and kept asking questions and it would gesture back. I never asked it anything worth remembering. I was 4-5 lol.

But... It's one of the few things I can remember in so much detail. It made a profound impression on my memory.

Most people talk about midnight as being the "witching hour", but like you, I have had most of my encounters around 2am-3am, the true witching hour. It is at this point that the sun is shining on the opposite side of the Earth, putting us in the darkest shade against the sun at that time. These things seem to thrive in darkness, although I have heard of encounters during daylight as well.

There's only one thing you have to reassure yourself and your child about. The only thing you have to fear here, is your own fear. There are many 'supernatural' phenomena we can't explain, and what we don't understand scares us. What are shadow people? Spirit make themselves known in many ways. Bright orbs (not to be confused with dust orbs). Fleeting shapes in peripheral vision. Misty images. Transfiguration. Teleportation.

And when we're scared we project that fear onto the spirit/entity that's made itself visible or audible to us. This entirely distorts our perceptions of what we're experiencing. We then convince ourselves that this spirit/entity is evil and menacing. 9 times of 10, spirit/entity connections are benign. It's just someone trying to connect or make themselves known to you. Or if you're sensitive, you're tuning into them in their dimension. They won't hurt you. Why would they? And what exactly do you suppose they will do?

Perhaps just accept that they are there, reassure your child that shadow people are not there to hurt or scare him, that they are just pass through, or collide with your energies because the vibrations are just right between you at that time.

There are so many misconceptions about the spirit world and the many dimensions that surround us all.

The above is not to say that there aren't negative energies/entities that totally get their rocks off trying to scare us. And sadly, most of us totally fall for it and end up terrified.

Psychic attack can be nasty, but it relies heavily on you being afraid.

Where do you get this? I've studied and researched Shadow People for decades and have never seen this type of situation.

I wish I could stand out to let you understand that I've spent some time on this topic. The only thing I can say is that I have the official reality approved information on the subject. I believe this to be true but I'll leave the judgement upto you.

There's a lot of topics on the subject of shadow aliens. That IS what they are known as from this stream of info. This story starts at the video game kingdom hearts for me. When you see the first shadow creature in the game, you hear the word "heartless".

I'll tell you what I know. These shadow creatures are aliens in the form of shadows creatures from an unknown distant planet. Their only goal was to feed. It started on other aliens and moved forward from there. After a while these shadow aliens got a taste of men.

Now I don't know what you believe about the world we're in. If you listen to scientists like Elon Musk, you'll hear that this world is a simulation. A computer simulation. That's another story. You ever hear of sleep paralysis? This simulation world has added these shadow aliens to the mix of human life here, to both hurt people and to bring a certain alien creature back to life. What I mean is for about 5 years I was attacked by sleep paralysis. Reality, by stream of information attributes this to shadow aliens. So those shadows your son is seeing dancing around? It's reality in the form of simulation theory generating shadow people. It's a form of magic. Consider the following, if this world is a simulation then by thought process, we live within some type of computer. Search up simulation theory for more information.

So what do these shadow aliens want? They moved on from sustenance, to soul consumption. It fills them up for about ten minutes, then they start again.

Here's a little bearing... a long long time ago there was a creature that appeared on earth..."he" went by the name of hades. His appearance was like Sauron from Lord of the Rings...filling the hearts of men with "darkness" or shadow. He would control their actions, force them to do things they didn't want to justify punishment by hellfire. If you ever saw his true appearance, you'd find out he himself is unkillable because he himself is a shadow alien. His race of people are shadow aliens. Once that humab was being punished, him and his people would feed on his soul....but at some point in time he was defeated.

So you're probably asking...what can I do for my son...Well I simply endured...years later I overpowered the sleep paralysis through strategic defense. You know what I'd do if I was your son?

Water is the key element to life. Whoever created this reality has weakened the water to a high degree. In fact I'm sure this "water" is less than 5% actual real water. In the older days a cup of water would rejuvenate your body to it's healthiest level. You may think I'm talking about the holy grail...I'm not...I'm talking about real water...it can cure everything.

But the water in this world is mostly nothing...but that's what I drink to clean my body. I'll tell you the truth. I've been waiting for your story for 3 years. Your son is in a dire situation. The only thing I can prescribe is tons of water to clean his head. This isn't a disease. It's sorcery. In scenarios like this, I repeatedly fill myself upto the brim with water. Whatever magic is inside his body (and i'm not saying it's a mental condition), it's looking for an excuse to keep attacking. I'm talking about anything it can find...aloofness as a empty space in his conciousness...an injury to the cranium...a emotional issue..anything it can find to bother him.

I don't know what else to tell you. I'm sorry I can't be of more help.

There are three possible reasons for the young man's claim. They are as follows:
1. He is fibbing. For attention.
2. He has a neurological problem. There are myriad number of reasons for having visions relating to issues with the brain/mind.
3. The most probable reason, demons. This is something which could be with him for his entire life if left unfixed. Fix it. Get the help he needs if indeed this is the problem. Whether you personally are a believer or not is unimportant. Just think of it as being infected by evil. There are people who can help with this. Please find them.
