There is so much wrong with this story... it boggles the mind. Pretty sure we all are against foreign interference unless it's from Freeborn and Old Carpy. But domestic interference from an appointed official and an acting one at that.

Looking forward to the explanations that this is a nothing burger, or it doesn't matter. This may have been innocuous and had no effect on the election but on the spectrum of motivations isn't it damn close to "any means necessary".

Am I wrong?

Morell was asked by Antony Blinken, then a senior campaign official, to help rally former intel chiefs to say Hunter Biden's laptop was Russian disinformation
Morell recently testified before the House Judiciary Committee and said he coordinated a letter because he wanted to help Joe Biden's electoral chances

A retired CIA leader coordinated a letter from former intelligence chiefs claiming that Hunter Biden's laptop was Russian disinformation because he wanted to help Joe Biden's presidential campaign.

Mike Morell told the House Judiciary Committee that he was asked by Antony Blinken, the Secretary of State - who at the time was a senior member of the Biden campaign - to help discredit the laptop reporting.

Morell was a former acting CIA director, serving for two months in 2011 and four months from 2012 to 2013. He retired from the CIA in September 2013.

The House Judiciary Committee, led by Jim Jordan, is currently investigating Hunter Biden's laptop, as well as the Biden family businesses.

Morell 'recently' conducted a transcribed interview with Jordan's team and was asked about the Biden campaign's response to the laptop.
The laptop, which had been left in a Delaware repair store, was touted by Rudy Giuliani, Donald Trump's lawyer, as providing evidence of supposed corruption among the Biden family.

The Biden campaign said the efforts to publicize the contents of the laptop bore the hallmarks of a Russian disinformation campaign.

The laptop included explicit photos of the troubled Hunter Biden naked, with prostitutes, and taking drugs, as well as multiple emails and texts between the 53-year-old and his father.

Morell said that he was asked by Blinken to rally former intelligence chiefs to agree that the laptop looked like a smear campaign.

He carried out 'a little bit of my own research,' and then reached out to retired CIA senior operations officer Marc Polymeropoulos for assistance in compiling the letter.

The letter was ultimately signed by 51 former intelligence officials, including himself and four other former CIA directors, including John Brennan and Leon Panetta.

The letter was published by Politico five days after The New York Post first reported on the contents of the laptop.

The headline for Politico's story, on October 19, 2020, was: 'Hunter Biden story is Russian disinfo, dozens of former officials say.'

It was not even concerned if it was Blinken or not, I didn't mention Blinken at all, it was just in the article

So again

An acting CIA director told 50 spies to write letters saying it was Russian disinformation. So you are okay with that? It's okay if you are I wouldn't mind hearing why is no big deal, for the head of an Investigation Agency to plead for letters when there was no solid basis for that conclusion.

Let's just say Im more of a fan of the less insistent Mark Felt approach, in situations such as these. It's an appointed position having a tremendous influence before a free and fair election.

I don't see any reason that they should have signed off on that letter in any case. They were not involved in that determination were they? Seems that part passes over everyone's head. All it was, was their opinion on the matter. A biased one at that.

FWIW thats probably looming on the horizon, remember they have admitted it's Hunter's laptop, were previously they denied it was his computer at all.

Thus it can't be his laptop and Russian disinformation at the same time.

Right now focus on the acting CIA director making 50 associates write letters about supporting the false Russian disinfo narrative

The appearance of impropriety is impropriety and that should not be more true than when it concerns the president of the United States. 10% for the "big guy". And are you saying that the photo and video of hunter smoking crack is faked or is it just not a crime to smoke crack and not incriminating to pose for pictures while smoking crack?

Actually it can be. It was determined that changes were made to the hard drive after it was no longer in Hunter's possession.

Part of that investigation appears to center on emails that showed up on a notorious laptop that was publicized before the 2020 election and then dismissed by much of the news media. Many of these emails have now been authenticated. NPR's David Folkenflik joins us now

Bannon himself in leaked audio credited Gou Wengui with the "editorial creativity" behind the hard drive. Maxey who worked with Bannon and Weingui states Weingui was the one behind the CCP and child porn stuff. We have the files created after the laptop left the shop as well. That hard drive is a muddled mess. Not the best way to try to prove a crime was committed. We also have Comey on the committee investigating Biden, state in an interview the other day saying " well there are things that should be illegal". Guess it's not going so well in that case.

Yea, they should just close down the investigation and give the all clear. Biden being owned by China isn't a bad thing, and Hunter's crimes aren't really hurting anyone. Plus, it would make democrats sad, and GOD knows we can't have that. Poor little fellers.

I didn't say that. I'm saying all the other hands and intentional interference muddy it up tremendously. And the fact that the committee member itself is not saying they found laws broken, it's not looking too good. If there are laws broken, I have no issue with any charges.

Maybe after this we can get to the bottom of that 2 billion for Jared. I mean a guy who had to redo his security clearance paperwork multiple times due to "errors" and placed into a top government position even though he was denied by absolutely everyone who knows what to look for, but overridden by his father in law is worth a look.
