Julian Assange faces medical conditions in Prison according to his family lawyer.

If Snowden didn't he wouldn't get a fair trail.

Russians who went up against Putin.

Some of you are quite obsessive with Putin this and Putin but have no issues with Boris Yeltsin regime.

That same Yeltsin Regime which put millions of Russians without money and people were struggling to survive during the mid 90s of course MSM didnt seem to mind his polices.

Russia is backing right now coup d'état in Sudan Africa , Wagner group etc....it started years ago with talks in Kremlin . The end result of that adventure could mean disintegration of Sudan...and years of war.

How is that any different from US supporting the other side? as they were supporting the so called "Rebels" in Syria?

The ironic thing is, Russia had plenty of options available to influence Ukraine that didn't involve conventional war.

Hey huh haven't you forgotten that America is the one who had regime changed the last democratically elected goverment of Ukraine on 2013?

Remember victoria nuland visiting and congratulating the protestors on a job well done?

Victoria Nuland gives food for demonstration people in Ukraine

Wake up. Ukrainian people got tired of Moscow's thug in Kyiv.

Again: Russia had plenty of options to influence Ukraine.

Unfortunately, Russia had a guy in power who has only one tool in his bag: war.

Even you have to admit that waiting 30 YEARS to react to Ukraine becoming an independent power was stupid on the part of Putin AND Russia.

But Putin doesn't understand we're not in 1985 anymore. And he wants to wage war instead of admitting that times have changed.

Cheers

You mean those so called protestors that were largely bused into Kiev by white unmarked buses? i remember watching the protest on a stream a few years ago.

The whole protest was set up to make it appear that as all Ukrainians were demonstrating.

In the Capital of Kiev of the street square they even set up a tent place where protestors could write letters to their loved ones and friends apparently.

A small tent.

The protestors waited for hours for the arrival of their Sen John McCain and Murphy to rally them.

Imagine Chinese and Russian officials doing what Americans had being doing for years like this in other countries.

McCain, Murphy Rally Ukraine Protesters

This regime change in Ukraine is what also had started the war in Ukraine in Eastern Ukraine.

Some of you are not living in the present, Americans who are calling the destruction of Russia and China are living in the past.

The other thing that "the West", China, and any country bordering Russia should consider and be prepared for, is the contingency that Russia does NOT collapse. Again, far better to be prepared than caught by surprise.

We all know at some point Putin will be gone. At that point, the big boys in Russia have a choice: get their act together and not allow Russia itself to collapse, or, be stupid and greedy and get into a civil war to see who gets to call the shots in the Kremlin.

Might surprise Vnex to know I would prefer that Russia does NOT collapse. A civil war there would be a disaster for Russia as well as huge problems for a lot of other countries. But Putin ... he needs to go. Not only has he launched an aggressive war in Europe, but from the Russian perspective, his recent decisions have been disastrous.

Cheers

That's rich. Putin is fighting an artillery war, using WW1 tactics. Seems he hasn't learned from history.

Worry not of Russia as it wont be collapsing any time soon.

Unfortunately i cant say the same about America or Western Europe for that matter.

Considering the social stigma and social hierarchy which is at free fall.

Well, Russia has made itself an enemy by living in the past and pretending the Russian Empire of old can be resurrected. Couple that with continual belligerence and interference with several sovereign nations e.g. Georgia, and the brutal invasion of Ukraine that has resulted it an extraordinary level of destruction and harm.

Is it really a wonder the civilised world wants to see Russia broken?
