My opinion is a much better deal at $22.99 each. No lowballs, I know my opinion is better on pretty much every subject.

What really ticks me off is people that THINK they're a know-it-all when in reality they're just a loudmouth. Gives the rest of us a bad reputation.

The danger it’s easy to over look is by seeing others as “know it alls” it’s easy to be one yourself. it’s a given.

I've noticed there are those who have to have the last word trying to show their 'intelligence' in any conversation, and it's usually a zinger -
For instance, we live in a major Flood Zone, and a woman we know in the area, if the subject ever comes up she'll say, 'Yes, you live in a dreadful neighborhood' -
She lives two blocks away.
And if I try to explain to her that she is in the exact same neighborhood and gets flooded equally, she's not having any of it.

It's difficult; I have to interact with people like this at work. My strategy? I simply don't engage them. I don't talk to them, I don't respond to questions except with "I'm not sure" or "I don't know". I don't challenge them when they make a statement even if I know it's drop-dead wrong.

There are a lot of people out there that are like this. They know everything there is to know about anything worth knowing. Let them be right/correct. In the long run it really doesn't matter.

I've learned something about people in the course of living my life on this planet. Most people I interact with or MUST interact with don't listen to much of anything you are going to say; they're too busy thinking about what they are going to say next. As a result, you're not having a conversation because the two of you are talking past one another. Talking has become ever more pointless really because, for a variety of reasons, there's no real communication going on.

Keep it to the weather and move on.

Oh, and to add: Politics? forget about it. 99.99% of the people I meet are "pre-programmed" to such an extent that all they can do is talk the talking points, be it from CNN or Fox. They don't "think" they just regurgitate the program talking points. No one has EVER changed the mind of what I call a "Program" person. It's kinda fun really. They make the mistake of bringing up one of the political talking points and I can run with it so quickly they think I'm in total agreement with them and it basically shuts down any conversation.....and that's good because there's no "conversation" with a program person.

Depending on who it is, I will usually try to piss them off just to be the a-hole I really am at heart. Even if they happen to be right in that moment, I will go out of my way to contradict them and get them all red and flustered.

It brings me joy (yes I know I'm a little stinker, aren''t I)

Likely being a few older then you, my various responses have been:
1. Foot in mouth
2. Simple correction
3. "If I meant that, I would have said it."
4. Bicker until someone intercedes
5. Ignoring the person as if i didn't hear and continuing.

In your case, both movies exist. I don't carry a phone, but as someone has mentioned, quick search would have humbled your associate.

If I may add to your assessment on the ennui of fellow men; many people are also either:

- high or medicated
- depressed or stressed
- family, marital/relationship, money problems

A handful of people might be happily engaged in a life outside work, as it should be.

Someone once told me you burn off more karma living and walking among the throngs of the metropolis.

I would tell him, " You remind me of that one guy in that one movie." Then wait for his reaction.

Ummm...well...

I just look him in the eye...and tell him...your not all that...

Then I stare hard...and continue to run that razor over his/my face...

That sure cuts him/me down to a realistic size...

Like a wise Emperor once said(paraphrasing); Stupid people exist, its a fact that we run into at least one a day, so just expect to encounter dumb people, then you wont be upset or put out when you do.

“You always own the option of having no opinion. There is never any need to get worked up or to trouble your soul about things you can't control. These things are not asking to be judged by you. Leave them alone.”

Also

Begin each day by telling yourself: today I shall be meeting with interference, ingratitude, insolence, disloyalty, ill-will, and selfishness – all of them due to the offenders’ ignorance of what is good or evil.

These kinds of people have been long ejected from my life, I have really good friends left. We get together once a month for a moan about this and that. The use of mobile phones is banned, no looking stuff up so it’s pretty much like the old days.

"It isn't that I can't read, I just can't comprehend what I read and when someone talks to me, if I repeat the conversation to someone else I forget a lot of details and just make up the details I forget."

Compassion

Think, for one moment, that person must be going through a twist of life, possibly dwelling on the fact that he's not made well or perfect as he might have been led to believe.

In short. Walk a mile in another man's shoes. Ya never know what motivates a person to be who they are. Sometimes, it's not nice. Sometimes we're just trying to cope with realizing that we're all a little bit broken. Your volcanic rage. His inability to comprehend (brain no work!). Fetterman comes to mind. That guy is in a depression alright. He's probably in complete misery, never knowing if he'll wake up the next day or if he'll ever be able to talk.

In my own experience, I look back at a lot of things I've said and done in my past and I can't for the life of me understand what the hell motivated me to do half of the stuff that plagues my memories.

I think once you delve into their mindset or try to understand their situation - meditate on it even (just contemplate). Once you start to understand, the enlightenment begins.

It's good for the self. Might help with that volcanic rage you have there. I get that when I'm driving

Very stoic 👍🏻

Well, being a loudmouth on a public forum is a pretty good feature. I mean, it's how discussions begin, points made, points refuted etc.

I've just lowered my price to 18.99!

We once had a boss who insisted he wanted everybody's input, especially at meetings. But, if your input didn't quite jibe with his thoughts he would go off on a tirade, literally storming out of multiple meetings leaving his underlings to cover for him. It was crazy he wasn't happy unless his blood was boiling

Anyway, after one another person got scorched for their asked for input. My brother bought the "Yes Man" doll and said he was gonna take it to the next sales meeting.

you push its head and it says stuff like

"When you are right you are right"

"How do you do it"'

It became our mantra whenever somebody would speak with more authority on a subject than was deserved.

Therefore I'd be so agreeable with whatever they said, even if it's wrong as been mentioned who cares, but agreeing takes away any satisfaction they have
