TikTok has started another controversy.

Now TikTok has begin to remove climate change denial videos.
Has started to direct users to "authoritative information"

When they say authoritative information usually Mainstream News Media Outlets that are state affiliated, goverment funded like MSNBC,CNN.
And others.

So much for freedom of speech in Western Countries/US
When they are forcing to TikTok not to allow any debate agaisnt "Climate Change"

What’s a Chinese platforms decision have to do with western freedom of speech?

We can debate climate change here, the government won’t stop us. Hell, I could hop over to 4chan, and aside from posting illegal material, I can’t think of topics of speech being off limits.

I’m sure in the east though that their freedom of speech is more robust. Not like you could get in trouble for talking about Tiananmen Square. That was a joke, because a vast majority of chat and social media apps won’t even allow the two words to be posted.

Or how about war protesters in Russia. Surely they can’t get in trouble just for speech.

Ironic, really

Country with massive pollution, remove climate change denying videos.

It actually makes a lot of sense for the CCP to push the CC platform on the West. The more we in the West devolve to accommodate the CC lunacy, the more strides China makes towards taking over as the world's #1 super-power.

No, not state-funded by any stretch of the imagination. This is not Russia. You must be confused.

What MSM is, is heavily partisan and biased so they can trap their audience. Makes them seem government affiliated but they are not. They are in the political party's hip pockets.

Now Russian and Chinese media are actually government-controlled and their governments control what propaganda they spread to control their enslaved populations, which is a crying shame this late in history.

It's not climate change that is being denied. It is the idea it's significantly human-caused. Climate change is a fact and the climate has always been changing since the Earth was formed. The problem is will bankrupting the world make any difference.

Because there are senators in US senate who will go after other platforms, TikTok is just an excuse.

Tic Toc, as we all know, is a Chinese Military company. Only the noodle heads use it.
As for their censorship?
Color me surprised.

Its no different from what the Western Mainstream News Media had being doing. When it comes to control and propaganda.

If you consider the past few wars

"The Balkan Wars, Iraqi war, Libyan NATO intervention, Syrian conflict"

When it comes to propaganda.

No, not state-funded by any stretch of the imagination

CNN, MSNBC, other outlets are goverment funded. Since the Iraqi war the media has not changed any position on foreign policy stance.

China is a heavily censored nation. You can’t even post about certain topics, and unlike here that is state mandated, not just a company “protecting their brand”.

Russia just locked someone away for 25 years for speaking out against the war.

Both of those countries block a lot of international news.

I can go to RT right now. I can go on almost any website with any kind of discussion.

What can’t I talk about on the internet as an American? I’d love to know. Maybe I can’t do it on every platform, but I can find one where I can which is more than many places can say.

The West/US is no different when it comes on certain topics. What happened during the lockdown is just one of the examples.

The only difference the west didnt take the Chinese direction.

At least not yet anyway...

Name me one topic I can get in trouble for talking about on the internet.

Maybe I can’t do it on any website or my choosing, but freedom goes both ways. I have freedom of speech, but if I owned a website, I can decide what can be said there to protect my brand.

Russia you can get in trouble for talking out against the war and many have.

You can burn the American flag in public if you want. You can say you hate the country and many do.

So, tell me what topics are off limits for me as a citizen.

Although propaganda is propaganda, there is a difference. Being partisan is not the same as being literally government controlled as the media is in both Russia and China. No the media here is not government funded. CNN and MSNBC cater to a single party but they are funded by advertising dollars in this free capitalist system. Their intent is to attract the half of the country that is Left-leaning.

They do what you are doing, which is spreading propaganda, but for purely financial reasons. Unlike Russia or China where they must report only what the government tells them or allows them to report. Your misinformation will not change that, nor will literate people believe that.

Foreign policy is government controlled but the MSM only reports on it. They are not paid to report it, they do so to attract an audience so advertisers will pay them to run ads.

Tic Tok is a well-known data-gathering tool that China has introduced to the West. Sadly our youth are dumbly using it.

1st of many to follow. this is the first domino for them. Tic Tok is no longer a place for truth and information. It was nice while it lasted. I hate it here...

In case you missed it we had government agencies "politely requesting" certain topics get removed from the various social media platforms. At least in Russia and China they are open about what topics you cannot talk about are. In the US it's done on the sly!

Yea, you go to prison for saying the wrong things over there.

But Americans are upset they can’t tweet whatever they want. We can say most of that stuff on this site without any fear of jail. What you can’t say here you can say elsewhere.
