Is it hateful to state the planets move in elliptical orbits around the sun?

solarsystem.nasa.gov...#:~:text=Kepler's%20First%20Law%3A%20each%20planet's,planet%20goes%20around%20its%2 0orbit.

Kepler's First Law: each planet's orbit about the Sun is an ellipse. The Sun's center is always located at one focus of the orbital ellipse. The Sun is at one focus. The planet follows the ellipse in its orbit, meaning that the planet to Sun distance is constantly changing as the planet goes around its orbit.

It's very well known that planets move around the sun in elliptical orbits and therefore the distance between a planet and the sun is constantly changing as the planet goes around the sun. Sometimes we use the average distance between the sun and earth, commonly known as one astronomical unit or 1AU, which is about 150 million kilometres.

So my question is what about those who believe the orbits of the planets around the sun are not elliptical but circular. What about those who believe the planets don't have specific paths/orbits and they can move around the sun in different ways and as they please according to different circumstances or that there is a higher power moving them.

Surely many can get really offended in a discussion which can become heated when one side states Kepler's First Law and the other insists Kepler wasn't correct and the planets are not moving in elliptical orbits. Hence their feelings could be hurt and we all know what happens then, people experience psychological & emotional distress or pain.

So if we know this could happen, is it inappropriate, discriminatory, or even hateful, to insist planets are orbiting the sun in elliptical orbits?

Some years ago you would have been put to death.
So I would imagine in some way someone might get offended?
I don't really see how challenging science in this matter would anger others, but this is 2023.

What if the feelings of those people who don't accept the planets go around the sun in elliptical orbits are hurt? And they may get really offended as they have different beliefs.

By the way I don't see why someone can not challenge science. You can challenge anything you want if you have good evidence.

I am sure some will get really offended when they are challenged in relation to their views and beliefs about the orbits of planets around the sun.

My philosophy is to always challenge what is commonly accepted.
That is how we move forward.

And to kinda answer your question about what if others get offended.
I think this specific subject could be worked out with discord. Nowadays maybe.....

I think your thread is a little presumptive.

The very first thing that needs to be done is to check with Venus AND Mars is to check their pronouns and sexual preferences.

Venus may choose to be frigid and mars may want to be hot.

What about the others. We know that Earth is screwed left right and center.

Perhaps Saturn will want everybody to accept that They/Them Rings are no longer valid and we should all accept that the rings are not there.

Pluto may want to finally accept that It is feeling like a pooch. It may want to bark at us.

Uranus is sick and tired of being fat shamed so we need to assume thinness for it/thy/thyme.

What do you mean? I am asking a very legitimate question which involves the views and beliefs of let's say of people who may get offended when others challenge their worldviews.

So presumably you don't think it's hateful to state that the orbits of the planets around the sun are elliptical.

Well there you go right there^^

You shouldn't have to feel shame about Uranus.

You are just looking to stir things up. I've got my eye on you, there, mister.

That explains A LOT about your responses in general. So written differently, you don't use your brain at all, just blindly being against something, because it'S commonly accepted.

You fit right in with ANTIFA and people that occupy other's houses and ask for free housing, because it's universally accepted that you have to work for yourself.

Find a real purpose in life, I suggest.

Since you said you always challenge what is commonly accepted do you challenge the common 'wisdom' in this case?

I am sure ANTIFA will have issues with pretty much everything but I don't know about this particular issue. The woke crowd doesn't care about science all, truth or reality, they just use science whenever it suits and fits their political narratives and weird ideologies.

At least here, ANTIFA is composed of anarchist, autonomist-left and they all share one thing in common: They are anti establishment, don't value other's rights or belongings and are against most things that are accepted in society.

So I think it fit's very good.
