That would depend on whether or not you choose to believe the third secret was disclosed back in 2000.

The three secrets of Fatima certainly pertain to a series of apocalyptic visions.

"Apocalyptic" being the operative word.

As I understand it, one of the grown up girls wrote the third down and sealed it in an envelope to be opened in 1960.
The church refused to release it after that date came and went.

It logically contains something that wouldn't reflect well on the church, if released.
Thus it remains buried.

Perhaps it said the church will end. I can see that motivating them to keep it secret

That's what the Vatican stated, but the story for the longest time was that she prophesized the end of the Catholic Church.

That was why it was so important to keep it secret.

From what I read, the third letter was read ahead of time and sealed away as the contents didn't go along with the Post Vatican 2 Agenda.

ETA
And I am trying to remember where I read that....

my gut is telling me the girls were shown a future vision of drag queen story time & so confused by it they could only write it down in letter.
Sadly, language/translation issues surfaced when Pope read it & he binned it.

i have doubts that the real secret was revealed. i believe the children told the church the secret in 1917. and it wasn't released until 1960. The church has a habit of telling us only what they want us to know. If it is something detrimental to the church they will never tell us the real truth. Why cant we see what is in the Vatican libarary? reply to: cpnorrisjr3

I attached a link here to the Vatican library where you can see scans of the (alleged) original hand written documents, the official transcripts of speeches by the Pope and the officially accepted interpretation of the message itself. Its interesting reading and gives some history on the timeline as well as thorough descriptions of the original event.

OK this is weird. I asked my friend about this a few minutes ago and they thought that the last prophecy was about how the killing of John Paul the first was the end of the Catholic Church too but can't seem to remember where they heard it.

It would seem a lot of us here also seem to remember that the last prophecy was about the church ending, but does anyone recall where or when they heard it?

I think that is the reason: The D.S. of the Catholic Church doesn't want it revealed.

And, I read Taylor Marshall's Infiltration..that is likely where I read about the 3rd Fatima Secret.

and
taylormarshall.com...

Padre Pio spoke of a “false church” and a “great apostasy” occurring after 1960 with respect to the Third Secret of Fatima. The references are chilling, especially in light of what has happened in the last 50 years under Vatican II, Modernism, Ecumenism, decline in attendance – and more recently under Pope Francis. Dr. Taylor Marshall provides quotes from Padre Pio regarding the Third Secret of Fatima and comments.

Hello. I have come up with a theory pertaining to the 3rd secret of Fatima. It may have been discussed before but I have never heard of it myself. While watching a documentary tonight, it was said that the 3rd secret of Fatima details the end of the world or “apocalypse”. It then hit me that this could tie in to the year of 2030 that the government so likes to use.
The 3rd secret of Fatima was supposed to be revealed in 1960. For an unknown reason it was withheld until the year 2000 when it was officially released by Pope John Paul II. It has been said that what was revealed was not the whole truth.

According to the Bible, in Matthew 24:32-35 it says:
32 "Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer [is] near. 33 "So you also, when you see all these things, know that it* is near--at the doors! 34 "Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place. 35 "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.

Here is what I theorize:
The fig tree is supposed to represent Israel. This generation will not pass away until the budding of the fig tree. Well, Israel was restored as a nation in 1948. The 3rd secret was to revealed 12 years later in 1960. According to the Bible a generation is 70 years. 70 years from 1960 is 2030.

Could 2030 be the end? That year is often referenced by the elites. Is this what Lucia’s 3rd secret was? A detailed account of what 2030 will be?
Keep being awesome ATS! Thank you.

There were no secrets given to the three shepherds (actually there were 4) at Cova Da Iria in October 1917. Infact the original interview records of the three children still exist. When Lucia was asked what was said (within days of the event) she replied “very little “ she never stated it was the Virgin Mary! She was subsequently cloistered and held incommunicado, 10 years later her memoirs were written and surprise surprise lol secrets

the vatican & pope both refused to unveil the 3rd secret...in defiance of the visitation by an emmissary from heaven...the papacy sinned ! why heed mortals on religious themes ever ?

ETA---i recall, as catholic in 1960, that rumor was the pope fainted at the contents

That's what I recall as well. The third "secret" was the end of the Church and something like the Pope wandering alone through human chaos and being killed on top of a hill or mountain.

Cheers

I think it depends. If Pope JP2 really did read all of the actual letter, to me it looks like persecution of the Catholic Church leaders. If parts were left out then what was so bad that they didn’t want the rest of the world to know.

Yet another reason I love the ATS community. I am admittedly not an expert on this subject. I saw what I thought could be a correlation and came here to hear from the experts. Never stop learning!

Admittedly, the alleged 3rd secret of Fatima was underwhelming, it seemingly revealed nothing new. The angel with the flaming sword could correspond to the prophecy from the Premol monastery.

All I can say is that Russia will be converted to Mary, but not the Catholic version. Rather, a renewed belief in Mary's intercession. According to German peasant tradition (i.e. Stormberger, St. Hildegard), a period of peace is slated for the years leading up to 2038, but also ends that year.

Not that it was so bad, but that it exposed the truth they did not want Catholic faithful to know?

Also, that it was read before the date it was supposed to be read.

Don’t get to far ahead of yourselves…I know the story of the Children of Fatima quite well. I have been there, I have read at the very least three accounts of the story and ensuing phenomenon of the sun, I have seen multiple documentaries about it, and now I have read this ATS thread with you guys. I have one question to begin with though, now that I already creeped everyone out with my modern/technological interpretation of part of the Bible.

Thinking back on all those different sources I read or watched (and always for entertainment, nothing more btw), I can’t really remember with any conviction what exactly the language implies about what exactly was kept hidden. I know that the three “things” are always referred to as “secrets” of Fatima. Is there language that guarantees us that all three secrets that were hidden are futuristic predictions or visions which will come to pass? Is it possible that a secret could be occult information which will be revealed or no, the secrets are strictly in the form of predicted events? Maybe the third secret is something like the location of the Spear of Destiny or the function of the Ark of the Covenant…unless all three are predictions.

And although some have suggested maybe it was kept secret because it tarnished the reputation or gave up people within the church who are guilty of some grace sin or something. I don’t think that would be anything to hide though. We already know that we are without a doubt the generation identified first by Enoch, then by Daniel, then by the Apostles and lastly, in the Apokipsi of Ioanniou (written on my island🇬🇷💥😍🏝📖✝️🐑) as the generation which will coincide with the church proving itself a sinful, corrupt, blasphemous whore. So I don’t think there’d really be any scrambling to cover up corruption when the Bible told us long ago that’s how the churches would be. If anything, it is just another piece of evidence which verifies the Bibles claims.
