There's just something about the spirit of ingenuity and pioneers in any given field.

Nowhere is this more evident, in my opinion, than in the field of aviation.

And in an industry where egos come stock standard, what has been achieved by the people working out of what is now known as Skunk Works makes it all the more impressive.

Perhaps it is normal at the highest levels of innovation and adventure to marry superiority with humility as it is the only possible way to avoid mediocrity or even failure brought about by a tenacity to succeed at all costs.

Humility becomes a natural state sprouting from superiority.

Arrogance comes from a state of insecurities.

Frustration seems to be the middle child.

This balance of individual brilliance and group cohesion fascinates me wherever I encounter it.

In today's world where surface level superficiality is all the rage, this depth of character and the ability to bring about the same in others seems like a fading art.

Yes this is a documentary about historic milestones in aviation, but the lessons contained within is priceless.

If only self-sabotage wasn't en vogue.

The youngest generation has been robbed of so much already, I can't believe we allowed it to happen.
