oh, i know. i just came off a 23-day water fast on april foos' day (planning on another week+ long fast starting next monday, my parents both wanna do
at least 3 days with me too. I went from 260lbs about 6 months ago to 236 on the morning of March 8 when I started my fast, though I did have lunch
that day where I saw a documentary that inspired me to try this, to 210 on April 1. Hovering around 216 now), im putting together a youtube video on
my experience right now, here's a small excerpt:
"Another way I think of it is, sugar is like coc aine, right. So raw sugarcane, and natural, unprocessed sugars in fruits and vegetables and
whole foods are like the coca leaf. Natural, mild, non addictive, and really not bad for you. Then we have the powder, coc aine hydrochloride,
right, I think of these as the sugar we have in our pantries - refined powder sugar that we use for flavoring, you know, a little bit here and there
won’t really hurt you, and putting a spoonful of sugar in a cup of tea in the morning isn’t really gonna cause any problems. Then we have the
REALLY scary stuff, the rock, the freebase, the crack coc aine that RUINS individuals’ lives and DESTROYS entire communities. This is highly
processed, STRONGLY addictive stuff like high fructose corn syrup, fruit juice concentrates, maltose, glucose, pretty much any ingredient that ends in
-ose, and ALL these other ingredients that we can’t even pronounce. THIS stuff REALLY bad for us. Ideally, we should consume NONE of these things,
they shouldn't even EXIST. These companies LITERALLY FORMULATE ingredients to get us ADDICTED and CONSUMING MORE of their products, JUST like a drug.
They pay off and threaten politicians, JUST like a cartel. And it’s almost IMPOSSIBLE to avoid them in today’s world, ESPECIALLY in the U.S. Like,
when I think about it, it’s really HEARTBREAKING what they not only enable, but PUSH us to do to our own communities, to ourselves, and especially
to our children. Honestly, once I REALIZED how WICKED our food environment today is, I REALLY wished that i could never have to eat AGAIN."
After seeing member Rolci's threads on here, I for one believe him. I'm not joking when I say I want to become a practicing breatharian before I die.
Buuuut if I never make that goal, I'm at least going to continue doing extended fasts, at least for one week, annually. I believe this is what Dr.
Goldhamer said he does in one of the dozens of documentaries/interviews I've heard this month, and after my 23 days of not eating a single bite of
food, I KNOW it's sustainable.
