Dressing young toddlers in wigs, makeup, and skimpy cloths for beauty pageants is ok though?

I have noticed that most people fail to even look at the law when forming their opinions. I had heard of the Tennessee law, although I wasn't at first familiar with the actual language used. I had to spend all of five minutes locating the text and another 2 minutes reading it.

Instead, it appears that the important thing to most people is who claims what, regardless of those claims. For instance, one notable poster (who shall remain nameless for the moment) has posted nothing in this thread concerning the actual law; he has instead focused on who made the injunction and who appointed him. It's apparently a cult of personality to this poster, and the law itself is irrelevant.

Such is the world we find ourselves in, and such is the reason we find ourselves in it.

No, it's not. Who said it was?

Why don’t you go after these kiddy pageants with the same furor as you do drag queens?

They literally have kids dressing up to be sexual. Yet nada from the outrage contingent of ATS.

Banning drag is stupid. Like strip clubs and porn shops keep them away from schools and keep under ages away.

Nobody has an issue with someone being “sexy while cross dressing” in fact I’m sure quite a few posters enjoy that. Folks pretending that there’s not overt sexualized performance and presentation taking place with drag are just burying their head in the sand.

Nobody is confusing the issue at say a beach. Plenty of bikini clad women and shirtless men who could be thought of as “sexy while beach going”, we understand the difference- why don’t you?

People don't seem to understand that there are places you expect to see that kind of stuff, IE: beaches, pools, strip clubs, music festivals(if you go to the right ones that is) etc.. Just the same as I do not care to see a random dude running down the street in a speedo, I don't want to see some dude in lingerie walking down the street in the middle of the day.

Everybody and their mom wants to make this about banning cross dressers, IDGAF if you are a cross dresser, keep it to yourself. Just the same as "m sure nobody would want to see me put on a fluffy pink tutu, cover myself and glitter, throw on some butterfly wings and run up and down the street yelling "Look at me, I'm a pretty pink butterfly fairy".

Are kiddy pageants being forced into schools and called education? That's where it went too far.

I'd video that sh*t and keep it for all perpetuity

Yes ma'am, exactly. This is what the doorknobs are being deliberately obtuse about. KEEP IT OUT OF SCHOOLS!

The law in question doesn't make that distinction.

Sooo, you have to wait for a law to make a simple distinction for you before you understand?

It's not about me. It's about equal protection under the law.

Exactly what equal protection are they not being given?

1st Amendment? They are not being told they can't do what they want, they are just being told where they can't do it. Kind of like the 2nd amendment.....but you aren't ready for that conversation.

Typical whataboutism. Most people don't like child beauty pagents, but if they involved kids dressed up in bondage gear and grown men with thongs gyrating their junk in front of them, then you would definitely get the same outrage.

Seriously, are you that oblivious to these "drag" shows that are actually sex shows? Or do you just support them and the only justification you can come up with involves comparing them to child beauty parents. Either way it's not a good look for you

Yes it does. I quoted the actual law above. Did you choose not to read it or are you just ignoring it?
