Where do you peeps stand on this? The Irish: sexy, or toxic?
I'd say from the cultural contemporary figures sexy.
Not popular with everybody, I heard.

Has Indies are really popular these days we're going to see here much more of these types of songs and it's good but they're the only worry I have is that they can be banned from the main media platforms but there are so many platforms out there right now like SoundCloud and that's just one.

They will not control us! We will be victorious.

They don't really qualify as indie, they've been a staple of the Boston/surrounding area punk scene since 1996. One of their tracks was the theme song for the movie The Departed. I'm not sure what label they're currently on but I doubt it's a small one. One of the members is from another landmark Boston band The Bruisers. They're hard to miss if you don't pay attention to mainstream music.

I do love their music

I would love to ask these guys, though:

why they would play a gig at a venue that get rid of using union hands and claim to be for the union worker. You know the guy who is at home instead of working bc it was cheaper for the venue to hire non union.

Drop Kick Murphy's aren't Irish they are American. But they do put Irish flavours in their music.

I get that the whole Boston-Irish thing is a little special, it's still a group where the Irish part is important, though.
For cultural identity and such.

I love me some DKM. This song is not their best work, IMO.

And never seen "phonies" spelled "fonies" before. Heck, even spellcheck is pinging it spelled that way. Maybe it's one of those new words?

Give me some Fields of Athenry (and the Sgt Andrew Farrar Tribute version), Last Letter Home, and Green Fields of France. And so many others. This song sounds like a throw away B-side.

Always liked this band. But when they fulfilled Sgt Farrar's wish to play "this song (Fields of Athenry) on the pipes at my funeral when I die," it cemented my love for the band.
