Russia is invading, shelling, and annexing land.

One is more aggressive than the other.

And now more nations join NATO, ones that were formerly quasi neutral. More former USSR countries are in NATO than on speaking terms with a nation who used to occupy them.

But more people willingly join NATO.

Yea, we’re the bad guy. Got the whole world in Stockholm Syndrome while a country shedding hundreds of thousands of their own and another nation to land grab is defending themselves.

Much like Ukraine, Poland remembers the tender mercies of mother russia they will cheerfully light the match that ends everything rather be placed under that boot heel again.

Ummm…good…now that NATO has depleted it’s stocks of artillery…rockets and missiles…and the hardware to put them down range…and now that they openly admit that they don’t even have the raw materials to produce explosives…or gunpowder…or propellants…let’s see how they fare against the country that has all the resources…the war footing ramped up military production…and the reserves to implement major offensives…

this sucks because I have a lot of students there, and I do worry about them. We try not to talk about the war much, but when it does come up, we talk about how they help out the refugees.

I know he’s saying he would end the war in a day, but he also was the first to give them lethal aid, said Obama didn’t do enough, and also said Biden wasn’t doing enough about a month into the reignited war.

Reminds me of being a parent with a blended family of 4 teenage daughters, no matter which side I supposedly 'was on" the other accused me of loving or caring for the other side more. When in fact I loved all of them but more importantly I wanted them to quit WITH THE arguing and fighting and STFU.

Ukraine halfway sold me about them regaining the eastern provinces, by saying if I send you all this aid they can get those territories back. Okay here's all our stuff go get them back a year later not one inch has been reclaimed but now we need to take Crimea too.

It's BS because militarily Ukraine can't take it back, and the only way to MAYBE win this for Ukraine is with NATO forces on the ground and securing whatever victory and territories obtained.

Which in itself prolongs the death and destruction of innocent lives we are hoping to save by intervening in the first place

Ukraine wants F16, but the logistical and training requirements as well as political considerations mean its not in the cards

Ukraine has MIG 29 and is trained on how to fly and maintain them They have been modifying them to use NATO weapons like HARM anti radar missiles and JDAM guided bombs
