Ive come to the conclusion that forgiveness truly could be divine. If Divinity is real then that's where forgiveness is, because I do not have enough cool on me to do it yet…An old grunt used to tell me.."boy, You aint got no cool on You" , I thought it was a cheesy thing to say, until I changed his mind..then I understood..I had no cool on me whatsoever.

He had been to that foreign land.where he was sent to kill the yellow man (springstien)lol..Name was Charlie. A friend outside my father and my career.

Charlie told me I was un helpable and said he would shoot me if I wanted him to..instantly my friend.

Anyway when Charlie died it made the news and I don't know how I caught it but I did…a blip..one cop outside his hose.."Unidentified man found dead at this dress today." frkn surreal.

He wasn't good. He wasn't bad. last year I was around was miserable DTs bedridden, it was crap..but its what he wanted…See Ya Charlie…Im trying to forgive and be cool.

Such a strong word forgiveness, it's definitely inferred if not outright taught that forgiveness is a weakness, but the older I get in a lot of cases it really is a strength...

so many quotes on forgiveness, but at its base, I always believed, it's about eliminating the negative energy from your mind, body, and soul

Forgiveness is divine. It's empathy-based. It's something that doesn't exist on planet Earth.Only humans can chose to forgive. So we must be partly divine. Although the so called gods (who created us) are long gone. I guess around 12600 years ago. Ps: sadly we cannot chose to forget :-)

What is divine is God's love, which is the only thing that truly exist. To forgive is a "form" of love, and there are many others, like accepting others, understanding others, to give respect, to give support, there is also romantic love, physical love, filial love, platonic love, etc. Forgiveness is simply one more, although is a powerful one because it demands a sacrifice (of your hate) from you, and leads to a more palpable form of liberation (which is what your are here to do).

I experience and continue to experience delayed grief..I never have time in the moment, to those around me I must seem heartless. Funerals don't work. Sometimes years go by and then whammo I get hit by something I hadn't dealt with. I wouldn't mind being more in the moment.

once you feel the weight of the anger lifted through forgiveness, you never forget that feeling. You pegged it, truly divine.

Try not to blame people for being who they are, they cannot help it. Just as the lion can't help but eat the deer.
The best we can do is try to understand, and try to love.

Forgiveness is something you must do, for your own blood pressure.
The old saying of 'Forgive and forget' is absolutely true, and then move on and be happy.

My mama always said that holding a grudge against somebody is like taking poison and expecting the other person to die.

Sometimes forgetting is unwise. It's possible to forgive a repeat offender yet remain mindful of his or her habitual offenses so as not to be repeatedly abused or taken advantage of.

Perhaps that's where the real challenge is; in truly forgiving for one's the sake of own well-being while not forgetting for the sake of ones protection.

I'm always on guard to protect myself, having had enough experiences to know better.
And I prefer to forget those people I have forgiven.

Maybe I think differently.

I believe some acts are unforgivable…

Child SA abuse
People that murder for sport
Those that enslave others

Is is good Karma to forgive these types of people/groups?

It's all about healing your emotional injuries, events from your past that have turned into locked pain, distrust, selfishness. Forgiveness within yourself and others is part of the healing, as it is also realizing that ALL is ONE. That all divisions are illusory, since we all come from the same source, and to the same source we are going; so, when you are in anger or distrust with the world, you are actually in anger and distrust with yourself, produced by the ignorance of not understanding where and who you truly are.

It's the path that every soul has to experience through this physical realm, the lesson that we take from here.

If You can do it. Especially knowing You don't have to, Its the single best thing one can do for their Karma..

The question You pose is the most important. Easy to forgive a jaywalker or a sidewalk spitter,,but how bout that killer, that molester?..

Absolutely, and we are probably unaware of how many others have forgiven us for thoughtlessness or unintentional acts of unkindness.

I sued to say to others : "God forgives , I don't"
Until I learned the meaning of the word to "forgive" .
One of life's hard learned lessons .

Half my life's in books' written pages
Lived and learned from fools and from sages
You know it's true
All the things you do gonna come back to you

Aerosmith - Dream On .
