Despite the overwhelming scientific evidence, and pictures taken from space, that prove the contrary, and show the shape of our planet to be an oblate spheroid.

I've personally not done a multitude of things, it does not mean that those things don't exist, or are not real.

Do you doubt the veracity of the picture that clearly shows the shape of our planet, or that space exists?

You also appear to be failing to answer the simple question, do you imagine the Earth is flat?

At least have the conviction to say what you believe and to stand behind such.

Also, unicorns and Santa are not real, nor does that fact change the shape of the globe.

Plenty of ways to prove that the Earth is round/spherical/an oblate spheroid.

Some of the most compelling being.

Observations of the Earth's shadow during a lunar eclipse.

The curvature of the horizon.

The angle of the Sun's rays.

The shape of the Earth's shadow on the Moon during a solar eclipse.

Satellite images of the Earth.

And gravity here on Earth which is consistent with a spherical planet.

If you bother to go watch any of the 4 short videos posted on the first page of the thread.

The fellow endeavors to disprove the nonsensical notion of a flat Earth using logic and common sense, without even having to resort to the use of much science.

The longest is about 12 minutes, shortest is around 5, so hardly an imposition.

Then get back to us with your thoughts on the very pertinent information the "Fellow" is presenting and see if you can debunk the logic and common sense displayed.

They blow flat Earth theory out of the water.

Adding to neutronflux's practical evidence (i.e., no need to see it from space), here is another example:

If the Earth were flat, then how do people in Perth, Australia see the same stars when they look directly south (such as the constellation Southern Cross, AKA Crux) at the same time as the people in Johannesburg, South Africa do when they look directly south.

According to the prevailing flat earth map, this would be impossible; "due south" for Perth is in a very different direction as "due south" for Johannesburg, as in the illustration below:

(By the way, this problem would be just as true if the stars weren't really many lightyears away, but rather on a dome, or the firmament, close to Earth as some flat Earth models say)

However, if Earth is a spheroid, this works very well. People looking south in Perth and Johannesburg at the same time to view the stars in the sky would both be looking the same direction. That is, they would be looking at the same groups of stars when they both look south at the same time:

I was a deck officer and a CIC watch officer. I have made several transits of the Atlantic. My ship was a larger vessel and was stable at sea. It was equipped with an AN/SPS-10 surface search radar. The dish was on a mast about 150 feet above the water. In each transit, the ship passed the Azores, a series of islands in the Atlantic. These islands have various elevations. One has a mountain of about 7500 feet of elevation. Others are significantly lower in elevation.
The radar picked up that 7500 foot peak at about 120 miles but did not see a closer island with a lower elevation until the ship was closer to it. If the earth were flat, the radar would have seen the lower island first. This happens with land masses in the ocean wherever we go. Heights are seen first and then more and more of the land mass is revealed as it is approached. This happens no matter what direction we sail in, so the earth is curved away from us in all directions.
Conclusion: The earth is not flat and the only geometric shape that is consistent with observation is a sphere.
