Just in case you're interested, I want to post a new video I see today, because it's relevant to the argument against flat earth: The authority figures of the mainstream official story.

THE NASA COMEDY HOUR: Lies, Disappointments & Woo -- Jeranism & Grosen

Take out the Dogma and consider it peripheral at best and I have no reason to doubt the OP..seriously. If religions weren't used to validate I would have accepted more easily, nonetheless, its totally possible and COULD answer a bunch of questions. Thanks for taking the time to post this. sometimes I feel like I'm the only one with no clue.

You know the earth was known to be spherical before NASA? Right?

What Navy has a tactical advantage by treating the earth as flat? What shipping company has an economic advantage by treating the world as flat?

My point is that NASA is not a reliable source for science.

In my opinion, we the people worldwide who are genuine truth-seekers need to start from scratch using the technology we have today to examine nature and see what develops.

And you don’t need NASA to know the earth is spherical.

For my life. Spherical earth offers the most accurate modeling, predictions, communications, routes from my travels, to photography, to snorkeling, to amateur astronomy, to having to use a satellite dish in the 1980’s to get HBO.

So? So believe what technology “tells you” without starting from scratch and designing the components, the mechanisms, the circuits, and coding it yourself?

What I'm saying is that first, the "giggle factor" needs to

All people on forums need to admit to themselves that we the people worldwide have been lied to by "the powers that be" with impunity.

So, a new world of science needs to be created.

Pretend we don't know anything and we're starting from the beginning.

I think people worldwide with an aptitude and an interest in science need to share whatever they have from whatever instruments they have at their disposal, and see what develops.

People who say or suggest stupid notions along the lines of Flat Earth deserve at least some ridicule as there is nothing truly scientific never mind even factual about the pseudoscientific mumbo-jumbo.

Which has nothing to do with this.

From ancient times to modern times. From those that sail/fly alone, to private crews, to shipping companies, to the world’s navies and air forces. The most accurate and predictable way to navigate the earth is as spherical with Antarctica as a continent in the Southern Hemisphere. Not flat with an Ice Wall

When it comes to astronomy. You can check and verify much for yourself. Buy a telescope. If your local college has an astronomical observatory, go to it on open to the public events. There is much “science” open to the public. You can even study to be a scientist.

I get what you’re saying about “the powers that be”. But there is much fundamental science that you can be part of, with no evidence and no motive to lie about it. Like the heliocentric model. Where “science” tries to understand the mechanics and make accurate predictions.

Good point. Whether anybody believes NASA or not, the Earth was known to be a globe thousands of years ago when Erastothenes measured the size of the globe, long before NASA existed.

Erastothenes didn't have any advanced technology and you and I don't need any advanced technology to repeat his experiment either. He just measured the shadow angles at two different cities at noon on the summer solstice, and the distance between those cities. Then using fairly simple geometry, A geometric calculation reveals that the circumference of the Earth is the distance between the two cities divided by the difference in shadow angles expressed as a fraction of one turn. I don't know why Fly in the Ointment hasn't done this, instead of going off about how NASA lies, since the shape of the earth was determined long before NASA existed.

in that the Southern pole is actually a boundary wall surrounding the entire Earth realm in which we live, an 'ice wall' marking the boundary of the seas. Beyond the wall (think Game of Thrones) is a realm of ice & perhaps resources which our governments have secretly plundered for whatever purposes, without telling us - but beyond that, there is a dome firmament which comes down to the level of the icefields, then submerges beneath them, all the way up or down being thoroughly impassable. .

Not a FE-ther but love the whole series of maps which have been found which show earth as we know it is just a circular land cookie cut out of the ice and that climbing the ice wall and coming to that plane, there are (according to the most famous of these maps) 31 more circular worlds cut out of the ice that we know of. That would make for an enormous connected world in which we are quarantined to our pocket and UFOS and greys, insectoids, nordics, blue avians, reptilians, etc. are all from our connected world but humans are quarantined to our pocket. Such an awesome theory to ponder even if it is outrageous.

And. Yet…

Spherical earth is far from meaningless.

I wrote that "TO ARGUE ABOUT" is meaningless (follow the first line in my post and try to understand how is it like, in a dream ...)

According to what you have written (in the quoted post) - i get an idea that you believe that the "flat earth" is limited in some way.
Please describe the flat earth from your point, because from my understanding the limit is rather in the Spherical model ...

Your talking about institutions that denied herd immunity. They lie when told to. About anything their told to. Probably because they were told to.

Pacific Islanders navigated by looking at the waves and the way the water moved. Other ancients navigated by a star that looked like the heavens rotated around.

How did the ancients navigate in the purple dawn of time? In Prehistory, before the separation of the waters, when the world was still misty and there was no moon?

The thing is igloo hes not the only one claiming that the Earth is an oblate spheroid.

As to commonly believed ideas, well his seems be backed by logic and simple observation as opposed to pseudoscience and denying gravity.

Plenty of other evidence that our Earth is not flat including the photographic sorts.

As to him having nothing, seems like a lot to me.

Keeping in mind he's attempting to leave the science to a bare minimum.

How do you expect him to provide documents or historical papers pertaining to flat earth when nobody else believes the earth to be flat, aside from people who are poorly educated that choose to place their belief in such nonsense?

You realise that humanity has known the world is not flat for a few millennia?

Even the ancient greeks knew the shape of the world to be a globe/sphere.

The Ancient Greeks!? Gotta go back even more time than that. Maybe even 6000-12,000 BC or more to the times when places like Lascaux and the Perigord caves…people painted in uberancient times pictures which show archaeologists and anthropologists that they knew the earth was round because they painted the bodies and the resulting eclipses with round shadows telling us they knew they were on a sphere.
