Sarcasm? No, just a fact. There's nothing to worry about. The US has had numerous puppet presidents. It survived quite well. Bush was a puppet of Cheney and the neocons. That worked out ok. Actually, the POTUS position isn't all that important. What's important is that Congress is divided. That way, nothing gets done.

Thats exactly what I am suggesting. And I don't think I am particularly astute. I've just been around a long time. After a while, it becomes rather obvious. While typing this it came to mind that one of the truly independent presidents was JFK. We know how that worked out.
