First Amendment
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Here's a great ballbuster . . . . . 😎
Chuck Schumer
@SenSchumer
I was invited on Tucker Carlson’s show.
I will agree to go on after Tucker Carlson admits to his viewers live on air that he has been lying to them about the 2020 elections and about what happened on January 6th.

Did he make a law? Did he try to make a law?
Show me where he broke the law...
BREAKING: Mitch McConnell just told the nation that Tucker Carlson and Fox News made a mistake in depicting the Capitol attack on January 6th in the way that they did:
“It was a mistake, in my view, for Fox News to depict (January 6th) in a way that's completely at variance with what our chief law enforcement official here at the Capitol thinks."
Fox News has to be in turmoil right now, deciding if they should continue to allow Tucker to release more video this evening and continue to spread a false narrative.

Our Republic is a threat to their democracy.

Doesn't that make Schumer in violation of the 1st amendment?
www.whitehouse.gov...
The First Amendment provides that Congress make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting its free exercise. It protects freedom of speech, the press, assembly, and the right to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Nope. Schumer is asking Murdoch to fire his employee Carlson--who freely admits he lies to his audience to increase his TV ratings and make more money--for lying about the facts around the Jan. 6 events. Just like Elon can fire Twitter employees he doesn't like. Schumer is not advocating a law be made by Congress.
